Merry Christmas - Happy New Year

Linda and I wish you a blessed Christmas season and a new year filled with significant achievement and fruitfulness as we serve the King of kings together.

Howard Thurman wrote these words...

"When the song of the angels is stilled,
when the star in the sky is gone,
when the kings and princes are home,
when the shepherds are back with the flocks,
then the work of Christmas begins:
to find the lost,
to heal those broken in spirit,
to feed the hungry,
to release the oppressed,
to rebuild the nations,
to bring peace among all peoples,
to make a little music with the heart…
And to radiate the Light of Christ,
every day, in every way, in all that we do and in all that we say.
Then the work of Christmas begins."

Happy New Year.

Update December 14

Greetings and Heavenly Blessings!

Just got in from the youth service of our missions week. Traffic was terrible, and attendance hindered, but it was a GOOD service. The theme, "From Mexico to the Nations - The Process and Practical Steps to the Field"

We had a good missions banquet last night, too. Expecting a great closing service tomorrow. Your prayers are much appreciated! Last year the people gave $108 thousand pesos in faith promises. We are believing for more this year - economic crisis or not.

We had 4 more people "pray for salvation" last Sunday. We say it that way - time tells whether they "got saved" or not.

This coming Saturday (the 20th of December) is the big stadium meeting. Biggest Gospel event EVER in Guadalajara. PLEASE PRAY! God bless you; may Sunday be a victory day for Jesus - and an abundant harvest time.

As always - thank you ever so much for your faithful prayers!

In His grace,
Roger & Linda

P.S. Xerox will help you send a Christmas card to a servicemn over seas: http://www.letssaythanks.com/SendCard.asp

Update - November 30

Greetings and blessings to you!

Last weekend was great. We celebrated the Salamanca church's 27th anniversary, and in the evening I preached at the Irapuato Center.

At the Irapuato meeting several people told me how they had gotten healed and/or saved listening to our Agua Viva program. Encouraging!

On Wednesday at the "vivelorojo" (see vivelorojo.org) planning session a pastor told me how he listened to the program as a young boy - and as a result came to know the Lord. One of the Irapuato testimonies was a man who had been an alcoholic but got delivered and saved through the program. Praise God.

Four people prayed for salvation here at our Angulo Center last Sunday, too. PTL.

Last night I took part in a city-wide ordination and recognition service. It was a good meeting with some 40 men going forth into pastoral ministry.

Among other meetings this next week we have a 15 year celebration for one of our pastor's daughters. This is a special time in these young ladies' lives.

Please pray for Rosenda - a grandmother and one of our 'originals' at the Tepic mission. She has a cancerous tumor on one of her breasts.

Have a great day tomorrow - as we all worship our King together!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update November 23

Greetings and blessings in the Love of God!

Romans 8.35-39 Linda and I were in Queretaro last weekend for a Titus 2 graduation celebration. Really a blessed time. I'm including a photo of the "rondalla" (guitar-singers group) of the women that ministered in song at the graduation service.

In a little bit I leave for Salamanca (5 hours away) and then Sunday night we'll be at Irapuato for services. We appreciate your prayer cover for the trip. Linda won't go this time, but my cousin Steve Collins will ride shotgun for me!

We had 3 receive the Lord in Angulo (Guadalajara) Center last Sunday. 4 in the new Tepic mission. Praise God. He is bringing people from our radio program there each Sunday.

Please pray fro Sister Rosenda...one of the ladies in the Tepic mission. They discovered a cancerous nodule in one of her breasts.

Testimony - One of the ladies at Queretaro suffered extreme abuse from her unsaved husband. She was about to poison his coffee, when the Lord told her to "do him good and not evil all the days of his life." Titus 2 teachings helped her through her temptation and new outlook on her relationship to her husband.

Thanks again for your prayers and love.

Have a glorious Lord's Day in His House.

Roger & Linda

Update November 16

Greetings to you on this Friday evening.

Linda and I are getting ready to leave in the morning for the beautiful state capital city of Quertaro. We will be ministering at the Titus 2 graduation services in the church of Carlos Alvarez. We ask your prayer covering as we come and go.

Here last week we had one person pray for salvation. The Tonala FHL Center (Faith, Hope and Love) baptized 29 people, the new Tepic work had 5 decisions and 28 attendance, and the Tabachines FHL Center had 4 receive the Lord. PTL.

Your prayers are a vital part of every good thing the Lord accomplishes here. You are a wonderful partner with us in ministry here.

Thank you!

In His Grace,
Roger & Linda

Update November 9

Greetings and choice blessings in Jesus.

I preached on 2 Cor 13:14 last Sunday. What a wonderful brief text that is! And its my prayer for you today.

We had a good week. Busy, of course. Counseling, preaching, prayer meetings, and a brief time of fellowship with Carlos and Ursula Pedd. They are MRC missionaries and lead the Reto drug rehab ministry in Argentina.God is doing wonderful things in that ministry - and it has spread to Brazil and Paraguay, now.

We had three people pray for salvation last Sunday. Good meetings, too. And we are helping the pastor rent a house in Tepic - he'll be leaving our staff here to lead that work. Pray for Martin, Faustina and their five kids. And for the ministry in Tepic.

This next week we get ready for ministry in Queretaro - including a Titus 2 graduation celebration service there.

Once again we are so happy that the Lord has you praying for us and the ministry here in Mexico.

God bless you and have a wonderful day worshipping in His House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger and Linda

Update - November 2

Greetings and Blessings in Jesus.

Well, we are putting the finishing touches on tomorrow's message - and sending out our weekly prayer report update. But our minds, hearts and prayers are REALLY more on this election than anything. It HAS to be the most critical presidential election ever! And we need a miracle!

Linda and I did the Los Fresnos group meeting last night. We filled in for Martin and Faustina who are moving to Tepic to lead the new work there. PLEASE PRAY - for Octavio and Rosalba who will take the Los Fresnos group now, and for the right house in Tepic. AND for the money needed for the rent. ($300 USD a month.)

We had 5 people pray for salvation last Sunday here in our Angulo Street church. Several others in the other local Centers as well as four in Tepic. Praise God.

We are facing some momentous decisions in the ministry here - please pray we follow the Lord's will and wisdom in them.

May the Lord pour out His Spirit on us all tomorrow...here and there with you. And may many lost souls come to know Him and His love and Life!

Thank you for praying. God bless you!

Update October 26

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

Today is our 51st wedding anniversary..."celebrated" rather calmly...while enjoying my sister Kay's visit from Memphis.

We spent last weekend in Leon, Guanajuato at the Center there. Saturday was a couples' supper and the service on Sunday. Linda and I were greatly encouraged at the growth and spirit of the congregation there. Several people prayed for salvation.

One man told us how his father had heard our program there and had traveled to Guadalajara for prayer to break a witchcraft curse. Some of our team here ministered to him and he was delivered.

Pray for the services here in Guadalajara tomorrow...and in Tepic. Martin Orozco and his family are going to move there shortly to lead that new work.

Pray for us and the area as we fast and pray over the Halloween weekend...Oct 31 through November 2. That covers Halloween, the day of the dead and all saints' day. Much demonic influence in the atmosphere those days.

God bless you. Your prayers are so vital - so significant for the ministry here.

In Him,
Roger and Linda

Praise the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Through Christ, God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing that heaven has to offer. Eph. 1.3

The new congregation in Tepic is coming along – 2 more people prayed for salvation last Sunday. 12 all together in the 5 weeks we have been having meetings.

Six people prayed for salvation here in the Guadalajara meeting last Sunday.

The Leon radio station has changed owners – and we are off the air there. Please pray for the Lord to open another good station in Leon.

We didn’t send an update on Saturday – we’d sent the October Good News letter on Wednesday.

Update October 5

Greetings once again from beautiful Acatlan de Juarez, Mexico.

Decisions
Well, we didn’t have any decisions Sunday downtown. I actually preached in three different Centers last Sunday. Not sure about all the services. But we did have eight people pray for salvation at the new Tepic Center mission. PTL.

Family Crisis Overcome
We had a crisis in the family last week. Our son, Carey Vaughn and his wife, Paty and one daughter somehow suffered carbon monoxide poisoning in their home...in an all electric community! Paty has spent the past week in ICU at Charlton hospital in Dallas.

We were packed to go to Dallas when word came that she was better. We had asked many of you to pray. Thanks so much. Your prayers helped bring victory.

Regional Pastors’ Conference
We had a really good regional meeting on Monday. Ordained four new men as pastors and a wonderful time of teaching and fellowship. Pictures below.

Dengue Epidemic in Guadalajara
In certain areas of the city the dengue plague is very severe. Several of our members are down with it. Please pray for an end to this epidemic.

Thank you again for your prayers for us and the ministry here. The radio outreach, the new works in Los Fresnos and Tepic, the coming city-wide events. And for our own strength, health, wisdom and anointing!

Have a great day.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update September 28

Greetings in Jesus,

What a busy week! What a blessed week!

Plans are in the making for a giant city wide Jesus celebration on December 20 in the Guadalajara soccer stadium! That's a miracle, but we all are expecting many, many more miracles on the evening. Would you be praying with us for it?

Good service all week - 5 people came to the Lord last week here in the downtown Angulo Street Center. And we had our first decision at the new Tepic work. Sara Ramirez heard our radio program there and came to the meeting where she prayed for salvation. PTL.

Reports of professions of faith came last week from Kimbila mission in Yucatan, from the Center in Puerto Vallarta and from 2 other Centers here in Guadalajara.

I preach tomorrow at three of our Centers - Tapatio, downtown (Angulo) and Tabachines. Your prayers will be a strength and encouragement to us. Monday (Sept 29) we have our quarterly regional pastors' meeting, coming from 5 nearby states. Please pray for the meeting and for safe travel for everyone.

On the new mission at Los Fresnos - we have $10,000 in hand to pay on the house and lot. $30,000 more to go...please pray!

Update September 21

Greetings and blessings!

We are looking for a great day tomorrow in the services at church. We had a very good September 16 Independence day celebration service. It looked like it was going to fall through...terrible rain storm just before service time; terrible traffic delays, what with the parade and bicycle race...I was a little pessimistic!

But we had a full house and 23 people prayed for salvation! PTL!

Have a wonderful Lord's Day.

Thanks for your prayers.

In Jesus,
Roger and Linda

Update September 14

Greetings and Choice Blessings

TEPIC
We were in Tepic Tuesday to start getting things set up for first service there tomorrow.
We are excited about this new congregation. For the time being we are renting a hall right in the middle of the busy market are of Tepic. Please pray with us for this city of 350,000 people. We want to be an effective part of Christ’s Body in that population.

LAST SUNDAY
We had a good service and 7 people prayed for salvation. I was blessed by the reports of three of our other pastors here reporting decisions, as well. Though I will be in Tepic, we are praying for souls to come to Jesus here as well as Tepic.

INDEPENDENCE DAY
Tuesday is our Mexican Independence Day. We are celebrating a special service that evening. Please pray that new people will come to know the Lord.

LOS FRESNOS OUTREACH
We praise God that the Los Fresnos property down payment has been covered. We have $400 USD a month payments now to make on the property for that new work. Should we just pay it out in payments, it will cost $98,000 USD. If we can pay cash for it, it only costs $36,000 USD. Would you pray with us to be able to go the cash route?

Once again, your prayers are so important to us and the ministry here. God bless you and many thanks for your prayers for us and the work.

Have a great day with God’s people tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Greetings and blessings.

Busy week...good week. Hey...we have lights this Saturday!

Linda's team graduates over 60 women from the recent Titus 2 course.

I had a great time preaching to a group of area pastors this noon.

We rented a hall in Tepic - great location. Will begin services next week.

I am looking for some good testimonies tomorrow - we anointed many of the members last Sunday to minister God's Power to people around them this past week.

Your prayers are a strong source of energy and power as we minister down here...thanks so much. Please don't stop!

Have a great day in Father's House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update August 31

Greetings and rich blessings to you!

Lights out again....getting to be a regular Saturday event. PLease pray we can get it remedied.

Three people came to the altar for salvation last week. Our pastor, Michael Massa preached an anointed message and the Presence of the Lord was quite strong.

We have a full week ahead and ask your prayers for anointing and direction in it all. Tomorrow we go to Tepic to sign the rent contract for the new congregation there. Please pray for that work and the radio program we have there to help reach hungry and desperate persons.

Tuesday we have the monthly Intercessors for Mexico pastors' prayer meeting and an afternoon conference with a local leader.

Wednesday Linda and I will be visiting in the home of a new family - moved here from Mexico City, and strong leaders. Thursday is our regular counseling and mid-week service day and Friday is the Titus 2 graduation service.

60+ women will be graduating from this recent course and we will get a shot at the husbands in this service, too! Please pray for God to cement the work He has been doing in these marriages.

We finish the Children's Workers Training Encounter today. 55 people took part in it - we know it is going to impact the way (and fruitfulness) we minister to the children of our areas.

Have a wonderful day in our Father's House where you are. Thanks so much for your prayers.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Monday, August 25, 2008

Update August 28

Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus.

I am doing this a little late, from the church computer - since we have no electricity yesterday or today at the house.

We only had 4 people pray for salvation last week here at the Angulo Center church. Lord give us a bigger harvest today.

Oh. Today our pastor, Michael Massa is preaching. He and Nancy are visiting here a few days. And we are expecting good things in the services today.

We had a tremendous general meeting on Wednesday - with pastors from across the city meeting together in preparation for a giant meeting in the biggest soccer stadium on September 20. Pastora Elia and her congregation are the initiators of the whole thing. This event is going to SHAKE Guadalajara - and a great ingathering of souls for Jesus! Please pray for it.

At that meeting a couple came up to Linda and commented, "You saved our marriage."The wife had attended a Titus 2 course several years ago! The husband said - Yes! I was about ready to run her off!

We have a very important Training Encounter Retreat this next weekend - for children's workers. August 29-31. Please pray for this encounter and the "encounterees" and leaders.

Also, please keep praying for the Tepic and Los Fresnos (new) works.

I can't express to you how important, and how beneficial your prayers for us are! Please continue...and have a great day in His House today!

In Him,
Roger and Linda

Update August 17

Greetings in the exalted Name of Jesus, Our Lord.

Praise God for a busy, blessed week. We had 6 people pray for salvation last Sunday. "Lord, grant us more tomorrow, please."

Tuesday we had our regular Faith, Love and Hope pastors' meeting at "Linda's House." We had "carne asada" and good fellowship.

Wednesday Pastor Juan Acosta and I had to make a trip to Tepic. We went to see the brothers and check on a house that was for rent. The house was not adequate, so we still need a place to start meeting in Tepic. (We have a good prospect in view - but won't be available for 2 more weeks.) Please pray with us for that need.

Meanwhile, Friday we stuck our necks out, by faith, and made a deal to buy the Los Fresnos house with the adjoining lot. Do we have the money? No. But we believe God for it. He has always been faithful to honor our faith all these 41 years in Mexico!

The down payment is $4000 dollars ($40,000 Pesos) and the monthly payments are $400 Dollars (for 20 years.) But we believe the Lord will help us pay it off in a few months. Then we will need money to put up a small, simple auditorium on the adjoning lot.

So, will you pray and believe with us for this supply? The group there is already growing. It is an area of 3500 new houses built and 1500 more under construction.

Linda and I met with the Angulo church missions committee this morning. It was a good meeting - discussing the recent short term missions trip for the young people, and the Missions Week program early December.

Once again I need to tell you how much your prayers mean to us.

Thank you, thank you for praying.

Have a victorious day in Father's House tomorrow.
Roger & Linda

Five people prayed for salvation last Sunday. We had a wonderful day in the Lord’s House.

We are gearing up here for a training encounter retreat for children’s workers. The object is to prepare our teachers to minister adequately to this generation’s children!

Arturo Gomez is home – recovering nicely from his major surgery, now. Thank you for praying for him. He is a key person in the new work we are opening in his area of Guadalajara.

May you have a powerful and life changing encounter with the Lord in the services tomorrow! We expect to have one here!

In Him,
Roger and Linda West

Update August 3

Greetings to you on our eldest's 50th birthday! How did he get that age so fast?

Just a few lines this week. We had a good week with the brothers from Oklahoma last week. Were in meetings each night - took them to minister in three churches Sunday in three cities...all part of greater Guadalajara.

Mainly I need you to pray for the youth camp that starts this Thursday. This is always a high spot in the year for the young people...I will be ministering to them Saturday noon.

We had one person pray for salvation Sunday - pray with us that we'll have more this week. So MANY yet to be reached!

Have a wonderful Lord's Day in His House with some of His children! There's a few odd ones, but most of them are quite lovable! ;-)

Thanks for praying - Oh. And for our daily radio program airing again here in Guadalajara.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update July 27

Good Morning! Greetings and blessings!

Youth Rally
Last night's youth rally was powerful. Emphasis on the armor of God (the youth camp theme for August 7-10.)

New Mission Outreach
We met with the new group of people in Los Fresnos south of Guadalajara. I showed Pastor Kenny the property we hope to buy for the work...a small house with a lot beside it. Please pray for this new group in an area of several thousand homes plus other nearby large communities.

Alfonso and Susie's Cell Meeting
I took Pastor Kenny and his companions to the Wednesday cell at Alfonso and Susie's home. About 40 people crowded in. We looked at a small warehouse nearby as a possible rented facility for that soon-to-open new church. Pray for that outreach, too, please.

Good Service Last Sunday
We had a large crowd Sunday, good service and 4 people prayed for salvation. Pray for the services today, would you? I am taking Pastor Kenny from Ada, Oklahoma to preach in Tlaquepaque this morning, downtown at noon and Tabachines Center this evening. All are in the Guadalajara metro area, but three different townships.

Last Titus 2 Session This Term
Linda and her team did the last session on Titus 2 Friday. The session was good, and the graduation dinner will be in September.

Have a good day - be blessed in His House there where you are. Thanks for your prayers for us here.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update July 20

Greetings once again in the Name of Jesus, our Lord.

We had a wonderful service last Sunday - with people ministering to people all over the auditorium. Several testimonies of God's faithfulness to heal the sick and suffering. Don't have a report of who got saved, yet.

We had a very good convention. I have a couple of pics of that below. One family had a terrible accident on the way - demolished their RV, but miraculously no one was hurt. The pastors at the convention gave them a special offering, which covered the cost of the vehicle.

At the convention we prayed for and blessed Pastor Carmelo Mendoza and his family as they leave as missionaries to the Spanish speaking in Houston, Texas. The family is pictured below.

The missions team to Chiapas will give reports tomorrow - but made an impact, and evenmore - were impacted themselves by their experiences. I have a couple of photos below of that, as well. I wonder how long we could stand sitting on those backless board benches?

Thank you so much for your prayers.
· Arturo had surgery and it lasted five hours, but was successful.
· Please pray for us as a team of three men will be visiting us this week.
· Please pray for the bi-monthly youth conference here in Guadalajara this Saturday.

Have a joyful Lord's Day in the company of some of His other kids.

Roger & Linda

Update - July 6

Greetings and blessings on this wet, wet Sunday morning!I am doing this early today - was halted last night by an electrical storm; then it rained hard all night. But the day will be nice and cool here!

ANNIVERSARY
Today the downtown Angulo Street church celebrates its 34th anniversary! We are expecting a 'miracle catch' today, as our people bring lost friends to the celebration.

MISSIONS
Tomorrow10 of our young people leave for the state of Chiapas for a missions trip. It is a rather risky area - please pray for safe travels and protection there as they minister.

HOMEGOING
Mildred McMath, a dear friend and a missionary with Missionary Revival Crusade went HOME this past week. Our prayers are with her family. She and her husband, J.B.(in Heaven, too) were effective and fruitful missionaries in Guadalajara for almost 20 years before leaving the field here.

Former MRC Board member Don Loose recently lost his wife to Heaven's glory, as well. Our prayers are with Don, too.

TITUS 2
Linda's team had another good Titus 2 meeting with the present group of 70 women. They have three more meetings to go...July, August and September.

We had 5 people come to the altars for salvation Sunday. As I said above -we are expecting for more today - thanks for praying with us for that.

Have a glorious Lord's Day.

We do appreciate your prayers for us.

Please keep praying.

Update - June 29

Greetings and blessings once again!

These weeks whiz by! This was another fast one! Busy and blessed!

We married another fine young couple last night in El Grullo (3 hours south of Guadalajara.)The pastor’s son David – my, it seems yesterday he was just a little boy – and Lupita were united in holy matrimony. We didn’t stay for the reception and tasty meal; we had to get back before midnight and all the rain. We made it,too. PTL.

We had 3 come to the Lord last Sunday – and another young man received the Lord after the service was finished.

I sent an urgent prayer request in the middle of the week for Arturo Gomez. The operation he needs immediately is an ileocolectomy with complete rectal reconstruction. If it SOUNDS bad– it is! We asked for prayer. Several have responded offering donations as well. The operation will cost
$15, 000 dollars. If that’s what God says, would you please send the check to Missionary Revival Crusade and mark the memo line with Arturo surgery. That way we can keep it separate from our own account and donations.

We do appreciate your prayers and response in every way!

God bless you – have a wonderful Lord’s Day!

In Him,
Roger and Linda

Surgery - Arturo Gomez

Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus.

Briefly, we need URGENTprayer and financial aid for Arturo Gomez. Arturo is a relatively newbeliever. He has already won several people to the Lord in his zeal forhis Savior. But - he has a life-threatening condition. His entire intestinal tract is saturated with precancerous polyps, and has to be almost entirely removed.

Arturo is on the Social Security medical system here in Mexico (which is really socialized medicine) but we found out they were going to remove all his intestinal tract and give him a permanent colostomy thing. We arranged for him to see Linda's oncologist (the number one oncologist in Mexico) and he referred us to Dr Juan Pablo PeƱa, the only doctor that does the kind of operation that Arturo needs - for healing and not maiming.

Arturo is 36 years old. (See photo.) He has a wife and baby girl. The doctors are wildly reducing their honorariums, but still with the special equipment needed and the hospital, the operation will cost $15,000 dollars. We asked the doctor how soon this should be done. He said, 'Last week, if not earlier!'

Would you please pray for Arturo, and for the money needed for his surgery? As I said - its really urgent!! Thank you. We´ll keep you informed.

In Jesus,
Roger & Linda

Update June 22

Greetings from Mexico this stormy Sunday morning!

Yes- we had a terrific electrical storm here last night and early this morning. The rainy season has begun, and the temps are very pleasant these days!

We had 2 people come to the altars to receive the Lord last Sunday. Nine the Sunday before. We are anticipating more today - thank you for your prayers for the lost in Mexico.

The folks in Tepic (and we) are anxious to get started. We should take possession of the rent house to start meetings early July. Please keep praying for Tepic.

We had the godrev.com team with us Tuesday. Picked them up at 8 A.M. at the airport, visited, and had lunch at "Linda's House" and a very good training time Tuesday evening at the Angulo Center Church. Literally scores of Mexicans are coming to the Lord through that website. You can see it in English at "lookingforgod.com" Why not check it out? (Photos attached)

Linda's Titus 2 ladies have another session Friday all day...please pray for that. Friday night at the El Grullo church, in the south part of our state, we have a wedding. The pastor's son is getting married. Please pray for a safe trip down and back.

Thank you for praying. We are always blessed and encouraged to know you are praying for us and the ministry here.

Happy Father's Day to all the dads.

God continues blessing the downtown church (where we pastor) as well as our other seven congregations in the city. We had 9 people pray for salvation last Sunday. Then I counseled with a young couple after the service – and was blessed to lead the wife to receive the Savior. Praise God. That’s still the greatest thrill and joy in this life!

Update - June 8

Greetings and Blessings in the Name of the Lord.

Monday through Wednesday were spent in the Mexican work board meeting in San Luis Potosi.-

I took advantage of the 5 hour trips (coming and going) to read Ken Sumrall’s excellent book on Forgiveness (Forgive and Move on) and listening to Bill Johnson preach on “The Church of Power” (A six part teaching.) Very good.

We had good services last Sunday – except that no new people came to the Lord. There were a couple of folk that came – I thought they were new, but no. They were coming to rededicate their hearts to the Lord.

We are expecting a “make-up” tomorrow...in lost people coming to the Lord. Pray with us that it will be so.

The Tepic project is moving forward. We hope to start meetings there in July. And, the Lord helping us, we hope to start services in southern Guadalajara soon, too.

Your prayers are so appreciated – so needed and so helpful. Thank you for praying for us and the ministry here.

Have a joyful day tomorrow with the Family in your area.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update - June 1

Greetings and Blessings to you!

Linda’s Titus 2 meeting on Friday was very good. I have a picture of the ladies to send.

We had 4 pray for salvation in the services last week. Praise God.

We have been busy all week answering 4 or 5 emails each day from

thegodrev.com website. So many people praying the prayer for salvation. And so many still needing to do so!

I’ve been reading Bro Andrew’s book, Light Force – a different perspective on the Palestinian situation. And have met some precious members of the Family in those pages.

Our youngest grandchild (Kimberley) graduated from High School yesterday!

We took Pastor Samuel Santos on a trip to Tepic, praying for the right man to help start the work there. I think he’s it. Pray the Lord’s direction concerning that, would you?

I had asked for prayer for Arturo Gomez. He still needs it – but the Lord has the doctors scratching their heads. They KNOW they saw cancer on those test results. They can’tfigure where it went.
But keep praying for Arturo, please – we want the WHOLE miracle!

I have to go to San Luis Potosi Monday thru Wednesday for a Mexican board meeting. Please pray for safe travel for all of us – and for Linda while I am gone.

Have a blessed day with your local Family tomorrow in one of Father’s houses! Its Bible, you know.

Thanks for your prayers!

In Him,Roger and Linda

Update - May 26

Greetings and Blessings.

Its Saturday evening late – I just came from the bi-monthly city-wide youth rally. Young people from our 8 Guadalajara centers come together to sing and praise and be challenged with the Word of God.

Its been a fast week– so busy, but so blessed as well. We get tired, but ain’t it fun serving Jesus and laboring in His vineyard?

Wehad a man come to the Lord in the mid-week service. That’s good. Most of our decisions come on Sundays and in the cell meetings.

Urgent prayer request: For Arturo Gomez. He’s 32 and has some intestinal problems. I think I mentioned him in a letter. One doctor was ready to do a colostomy on this strong, young truck driver! Good news – he doesn’t have cancer, but he does a need an operation to correct a serious problem. Please pray for him and his wife and little daughter.

Linda had another Titus 2 session coming up next Friday. We appreciate your prayers for that event, too.

Our quarterly regional pastors’ meeting is tomorrow. Pastors will be coming from 5 states. Please pray for the meeting and their safe travel to and from.

Your prayers mean so much to us – thank you for praying.

Have a wonderful day in the Lord’s House today. Hebrews 10.25. We all need it!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update - May 18

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

Its been a busy and blessed week. Pastors' meetings, counseling sessions, planning for the new outreaches (missions) and so on. I had to get fresh radio programs out - still behind on regular mail correspondence, but working on that, too.

We are getting ready for the quarterly regional pastors' meeting next week. Saturday we have a youth "concentracion" meeting...a united meeting of the youth of all our Guadalajara area Centers of Faith.

We had 3 people pray for salvation in the service Sunday...others brought to the Lord outside the services. I got to the staff meeting Sunday and walked in on the end of a session 2 workers had with a young lady...she received the Lord.

Update - May 11

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

To all the mothers:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. Rom 15.13

From Jerry Ireland in Pensacola:
A teacher gave her class of second graders a lesson on the magnet and what it does. The next day in a written test, she included this question: 'My full name has six letters. The first one is M. I am strong and attractive. I pick up things. What am I?' When the test papers were turned in, the teacher was astonished to find that almost 50 percent of the students answered the question with the word 'Mother.'
Monday I walked into the church for our staff meeting, to find two staff members praying with a young lady for salvation. They were excited, she was thrilled and I was, too.

Last Sunday was Children’s Day in Mexico. Our kids had a special celebration.

Have a wonderful Lord’s Day.

Update May 4

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

We got back from last month's missions conferences and MRC board meeting in time to do a young lady's 15th birthday celebration and preach Sunday. After Monday's staff meeting and our cell meetings we took 3 days to rest and catch up from the trip.

Of course there is always much to do even when we are "taking time to rest." More than anything else these past three days we have been distributing and answering emails of new converts from the website "enbuscadedios.com". Linda, I and the staff have done over 100 follow-up emails. Exciting!

I was counseling with one of my cell members. Alfredo was sharing how he had one a young man to the Lord a couple of weeks ago, and now the whole family has come to know the Lord!

We are going to rent a house this week for the beginning of the new church plant in Tepic, Nayarit. Please pray for that, would you?

God bless you - Have a great day in Father's House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update - April 27

Greetings andblessings on this last Sunday of April!

Linda and I finally got home yesterday at noon. We were to arrive late Friday night. Do you want to hear the story of our flight’s delays? No – I don’t think so. Anyhow, we are home!

We celebrated a young lady’s “quinceaƱera” last night. That’s her “coming out” time. She was a niƱa, now she’s a seƱorita. Very important in the Latin American culture. A photoa Karen and her parents and me is below.

Four people prayed for salvation last Sunday here. Linda and I were still in Texas– ministered at the Community Bible church in Azle.

We are expecting great things today...here and there where you are!

Thank you SO much for your prayers for us!

In HisLove,
Roger and Linda

P.S. Pray much for RevGod.com and the harvest of precious souls and their follow-up

Update - April 20

Greetings and Blessings from the MRC office in Desoto (Dallas) Texas. I have a very brief update this week. We missed last week as I did not have access to a computer for the report.

We will be at the Community Bible Church in Azle, Texas tomorrow. We ask for your prayers as we minister there. Then a few more days of closing down things here at the office, and back home! To Guadalajara.

We had (they had) 8 people pray for salvation last week in the main Guadalajara congregation. I may just stay away - they had more people and more decisions without me!

We were blessed to see many dear friends at the missions conferences in Pensacola last week. A good trip...2300 miles in all. Thank you for praying for us.

Have a blessed day worshiping the Father in His House!

In Him,

Early Update - March 27

Greetings and blessings in the Name of the Risen King!

I am writing a little early because I have a special prayer request. A dear pastor friend has suffered a stroke and is paralyzed to a large degree on one side. Bro Fred Weaver has improved some since the stroke early March, but its slow in coming. Please pray for him and his wife and congregation.

My cousin Steve Collins went on his usual Thursday rounds of visitation and follow up with Alfredo, one of my cell members. Alfredo sells insurance. He was in Amatitan, a town near Guadalajara 2 weeks ago with a client. Alfredo prayed for a severe back problem the man was suffering. When Alfredo returned on business yesterday the man was healed and anxious for Alfredo to talk to him about the Lord, together with all his family.

They went back today for that follow up. About 6 people have received the Lord in that house. PTL.

Thank you for praying for Bro Fred. God bless you, "real good."

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update - March 23

Greetings and Blessings this Resurrection celebration morning!

My favorite cartoon below!
3 people prayed for salvation last night at the "Good Friday" service. Mexico is such a religious country. People come out for the so called Good Friday service.

Last Sunday 5 people came for salvation. Its really thrilling to see these new believers winning others! They are so excited about Jesus!

He is alive...forevermore! Let's celebrate His victory and ours in Him, and "go quickly and tell."

Rejoice in Him and be blessed!

Update - March 9

Greetings and blessings.

Linda and I want to share a brief testimony. Mari Josie, the daughter of one of Linda's cell members works for a lady doctor. Mari found her very depressed the other day; crying, in fact. Mari asked her what was wrong. Ended up telling her what she needed was Jesus. Mari's mother is a psychologist. She helped Mari lead the doctor to Jesus, and Mari is doing the follow-up with her. She promised to come to the service tomorrow. Praise God.

Sad news. I asked you to pray for Fede in Spain. He went to be with the Lord Friday. Please pray for his famly.

Please pray for Linda's Titus meeting this Friday. Its early this month because of Easter. The photo is of another Titus group -Linda hasn't taken any photos of this group yet.

Have a wonderful Lord's day. Thanks for praying for us - its SO important!

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update - February 24

Greetings and Blessings in Jesus' Name! Exalted Name. Glorious Name. Life-, Love-, Liberty-filled Name.

Thanks for your prayers for me last week. It was a GOOD time in the Monterrey, Mexico area. I got to preach the opening session of the Bible School conference, and twice at the San Nicolas, Monterrey Center and twice at th San Isidro church. About ten people came to the altar at the first service in Monterrey, and about 6 more at the second service.

Five people prayed for salvation here at the Angulo Center in Guadalajara while I was away. The ministry team did a great job.

We have a special supper this coming Friday night for the young married couples in the congregation. Their's is a growing number, and we need to start a ministry aimed at their group. Please pray for God's direction and blessing.

We just got news that we are back on the air in the Puerto Vallarta station. Very important! The work there is new and growing, but the radio program helps bring in more new people.

You can go to this URL and hear my 18 minute message on "Making Right Choices". Sabine Diaz, Christian musician, conductor and composer has opened the opportunity to place messages on their web site. http://www.symphonique.org/en/preacher.php (Block and paste it in your search engine.) You might want to look around the rest of that web site, too.

Have a victorious day in our Father's House with His other children!

Update - February 17

Greetings and blessings this beautiful Lord's Day.

Had a good meeting last night at "El Ejido" out at Sn Isidro with Pastor Chano and the people. We planted that church in 1967. They are going good. Some great testimonies across the years.

One - they were praying for a demon possessed girl who was tranquilized because she was so violent. They prayed and then left. The pastor had been served a cup of coffee while they were ministering. He drank about half, and left the other in the room. After a bit the girl came to, saw the coffee and drank it. When they went back to check on her, she was delivered...permanently. How about that?

I look forward to 2 great meetings today - here in Monterrey and again at San Isidro this evening. Thanks for your prayers.

Linda's pajama party with her ladies was great. And they "cleaned the kitchen!" I mean- ate all the food! It was a good time for all. Bible study, prayer and fellowship.

Have a glorious day in the Lord's House with His people today.

Greetings and Choice Blessings,

A little behind schedule here---computer "uncooperation."

We had a grand week - for us. The Encounter Retreat was blessed by the Lord tremendously. 49 people went as "encounterees" and 15 received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit while 16 were baptized in water.

We had 5 people come to the altar for salvation in the church, and 10 people baptized in the Holy Spirit. PTL.

Prayer requests:
  1. Amy Hart Stockstill - haven't had any news this past week - but we need to keep praying for her. Its super urgent! You can keep up with the situation at http://www.joelstockstill.com/
  2. I leave Tuesday for conference and meetings in north Mexico. I will be gone all week. I would appreciate your prayer covering for this trip and ministry.
  3. Linda's cough is a little better. She needs all her strength and health for her own activities while I am away.
  4. Pray for Agua Viva radio programs. The Lord continually amazes me with the reports and testimonies that come from that aspect of our ministry

Have a wonderful Lord's Day.

Update - February 3

Greetings and Blessings this beautiful Sunday morning.

This afternoon 49 people will be returning from a 48-hour life-changing Encounter Retreat! It is always amazing to see what the Lord does in the lives of those attending these encounters. Please pray that these last few hours of the Encounter will be especially powerful.

We had 4 people pray for salvation last Sunday. I have word of some others that received the Lord in a follow-up home visit, but no hard figures. Praise God for each one.

The Pastors’ Regional meetings very good.- the sessions were challenging and edifying. Thanks for praying. Everyone got here safely, and then home safely.

A couple of pics of the Pastors’ Meeting are below.

Please be praying for Arturo, the young truck driver who was recently diagnosed with intestinal cancer. God answered your prayers for Erica. She is MUCH better. In fact she is helping minister at the Encounter this weekend! Praise the Lord.

Have a glorious day in Father’s House today.

In Him,

Roger & Linda
