Year End Letter

Dear Friend,
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Isaiah 9.6-7
Greetings to all in the mighty Name of Jesus.
As we enter into the last days of this year, looking at the events that have transpired through the year, and as we anticipate coming twelve months of 2013, our hearts are filled with wonder and admiration for what He has accomplished and for the blessings that await us in the coming year.
We look at God has done in the past 12 months, and we are amazed. I look at the buildings that we raised up for the work. We have contemplated the souls who have come to the Lord, the lives that have been touched for the Lord. Many other examples of His grace.
And, as look to the expectations of the coming year, we are filled with anticipation for the victories that God is moving to accomplish in us.
I, myself, expect God’s merciful working in our own lives – an including His healing in our own body. There has been significant advancement, and I anticipate a complete healing in days to come!
Another happy note –our 6th grandson was born the 21th of this month.Beto and Lindsay have welcomed their first son into their lives. We are so happy with Him for last and his safe arrival.
We also anticipate for you His richest blessings on your life and the lives of those who surround you. May this be a glorious year for each one for the members in your household.
In His Grace,
Roger and Linda

Update December 12

“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  (Mat. 19-20)
This is Christmas time, and Linda and I share the blessings of the season.  We express to you and all yours Happy  Christmas and a Joyful New Year at this time of the year. We bless you and it’s the love of this time of year.

Kerry spoke on the calling on each of the carrying Gospel to the lost. He spoke on the four aspects of the Cross. He spoke to us about the “Four Aspects the Great Commission”  as well as other themes. On Saturday night at the youth meeting he spoke strongly to the youth, and the prayer with all of the who sensing to the service to mission.
Of course on the meeting time it is a time of meals and eating.  They were meeting on the team’s time of meeting as well as the pastors’ meal, time as well. They have been meeting in the “Sirloin Stockade” for the meals. It was a joyful time for all. The meals was a blessing to all.

Update October 17

Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases.

This year has been a real change in all our lives with Rogers sickness.
However, we are very grateful for his progress in the recovery process.

The ministry activity continues in our Central church with our team and
pastors carrying on. The programs continue to be aired.

The Titus 2 National Convention was held October 12 and 13th.
Linda was able to go on the 13th and share and fellowship with the Titus 2 women.

One testimony from our Pastors wife in Tepic Nayarit was really good.
She told her husband about the banquet at graduation and she wanted him to go. He said, you can go,  I’m not. As the course progressed and time drew closer so told him, I suppose I will have to rent a husband to go with me. Close to the end of the course he said, Don’t rent one . I will go with you.

Our pastor’s wife in Puerto Vallarta is going to initiate the course in 2013.Other areas of the nation were urged and encouraged to do the same. The convention was a great success and the women were encouraged and blessed.

Our annual missions conference will be , as always, the first week in December. Join us in praying for that please.

On the home front, since Aug. 7 until now everyone says that Roger is making excellent progress. Thank you for your part in that. He is responding well to prayer, medication and therapy. We are believing for a complete recovery and that very soon.

We are still on the planet and love and pray for you. Thank you so much for standing with us.

Roger and Linda West

Update August 5

Greetings and Choice Blessings in Jesus.

"I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth…O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together." Psalm 34.2,4

Wow! What a week. Let me tell you some of it.

As you know, Little Daniel was found on Sunday morning…safe and sound. Answer to prayer. Miracle answer to prayer! Praise God!

That afternoon a couple on our pastoral staff went to visit the family and found that a celebration had been arranged for by the neighbors and family of Daniel. Pastor Octavio asked if he could lead them in a prayer of thanks to God. They said yes. Pastor Octavio prayed the plan of salvation as he thanked God, and then asked who would pray to receive Jesus. Over 150 people did. Are they all saved? No. Some, we trust...and follow-up will tell.

Our week of intensive city-wide evangelism came to an end...15786 people were ministered to during the week in Guadalajara. 10002 prayed to receive the Lord. Our own team prayed with 598 people and 283 prayed for salvation. Praise the Lord.

A representative of radio station "Channel 1440" came to see me this past week. As a result we are on one more station with our daily 15 minute radio program, "Agua Viva." Please pray for this new station, as well as the others, which include A.M. F.M.and Internet outreach.
And for the Lord's provision to cover the cost. We always are stepping out in faith with any expansion in our work here.

I took Linda for lab work last week...which led to more lab work this week. We'll know more in the middle of the coming week, but I can tell you now - we need to pray for her kidneys. We know you are praying, and we deeply appreciate it.

I try to keep these relatively short, so I will stop for now. I am sending along another "Our Story" episode, and some pics.

God bless, and have a special time with Father and His Family in His House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger and Linda

Update July 29

Greetings from  Mexico!

It has been quite a week!

Little 7 year old Daniel Martínez was kidnapped  Wednesday afternoon. Many of you have been praying, as have multiplied thousands in many countries. His kidnapping has been on nation-wide news in Mexico. His parents and grandparents are beside themselves. There have been a couple of false alarms about seeing him – but no rescue as yet. We will happily inform you when we get the news of his safe release. Thank you so very much for your prayers. He is from a family in our Angulo church.

A team from Angulo has been involved in an evangelistic outreach this week. “Invasion” has been very fruitful in city after city in Mexico for reaching large numbers of souls.

Our team reported 97 decisions for Christ at one of the main plazas in downtown Guadalajara on Thursday. Yesterday at Fresnos community in the south of the city 150 decisions were recorded. Praise God. I share a couple of pics of the activities below.

Linda – no change. We keep praying and waiting – and believing.

Thank you for your prayers for us and the ministry here.
Have a wonderful time in Father’s House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update July 22

Greetings and blessings to you from beautiful Mexico!

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” Psalm 84.11

We had a wonderful time celebrating the 20th anniversary of “Mercy and Grace Church” (Misericordia y Gracia.) I am Pastor Alfonso Ruiz’ pastor and I had the honor of preaching at the anniversary service.

I had a call from one of our ladies Thursday, requesting an appointment before the service. She brought a news paper and radio reporter for me to counsel. We talked, I counseled and then he gave his heart to Jesus. Please pray for a new brother in the Lord – Arturo.

I am sending along another episode of “Our Story” and this month’s Good News prayer letter.

Appreciate continued prayer for Linda – we haven’t slipped backward, but have made no forward progress either. I speak of strength, weight and voice.

We are so dependent on your prayer support. What a blessing. Thank you.

Have a great time in Father’s House with His kids!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update July 15

Greetings from a pleasantly cool central Mexico. Rainy season. temps mostly in 60's and low 70's. Wish we could share!

"Sing unto the LORD with thanksgiving; sing praise upon the harp unto our God: Who covereth the heaven with clouds, who prepareth rain for the earth, who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains." Psalm 147.7-8

We had 4 pray for salvation in the services last week. Good services. At Angulo Center (downtown Guadalajara) we celebrated our 38th anniversary. It was 38 years ago Linda and I brought our family to live in Guadalajara. We had started with an evangelistic campaign in January (using the Agua Viva program as publicity.) Then we began traveling every week for all day services Saturday in a building that was used for wrestling matches on Sundays. After 6 months of that we moved to live in Guadalajara.

I shared last week how many churches and missions have been born out of the Angulo work. All praise the God and His Son!

I just got back from preaching at our annual summer youth camp. Over 300 youth - all excited about Jesus. One young man, just saved this week, wanted to talk to me about becoming a preacher! Many saved, filled with the Spirit and called to His service. (But, then, aren't we all? Called to His service.)

Tomorrow I preach for a pastor under our covering, though not a Faith Center church. They are celebrating their 20th anniversary as a congregation. Would you please pray for me as I preach to them tomorrow at noon?

Once again, Linda and I thank you from the depths of our heart for your love, encouragement and prayers. We consider you a vital member of the team here. We need you, and are thankful to God for you.

Have a wonderful, fun time worshiping Father and Son with some others of His saints tomorrow.

In His Love,
Roger & Linda
