Update August 1

Greetings from Acatlan de Juarez, Mexico.

" The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men."
Ps 115.16

Rainy season, cool nights, pleasant days - some days rainy all day. Underpasses flooded, traffic slowed down to a crawl; but everything is green and fresh. God made a beautiful world for us!

Last week we had 2 people pray for salvation at Angulo, as well as two young fellows in one of our cell meetings. At the newest mission church (MisiĆ³n Estadio) one more person received the Lord. At the Tepic mission 5 people prayed for salvation at the end of their Vacation Bible School. Praise the Lord.

Pictured, the 2 young fellows who prayed for salvation and Linda, teaching at the lrge women's conference here.

We are getting geared up for the annual Youth Camp next week. I will preach to them on Saturday the 6th.

On the 13th of August Linda and I will be down south helping one of our pastors celebrate the 15th birthday of their youngest daughter. (The quinceaƱera (15th birthday) is a very important event in the young ladies’ life here in Mexico.

Thank you, again, for your prayers and your gift for the ministry here.

Update July 25

Dear Friend,

Greeting and Aaronic blessing in Jesus. (Numbers 6.24-26)

Can you believe we are almost all of the way through July? I thnk I am going to shop for a slower calendar!

We had a blessed week - 4 people prayed for salvation in the Autlan Center, some more in Tonala (not sure how many) and in the new Mision Estadio (Stadium Mission.) None in the Angulo Center.

We celebrate water baptism tomorrow. And the annual youth camp is just around the corner.

The Tepic mission had their VBS (Vacation Bible School) last week and this - a couple of pics below.

A few days ago a group of us pastors met with the new Guadalajara mayor - we had a good discussion and then we prayed for him. His name is Jorge Aristoteles Sandoval. Would you mention him to the Lord, also? Protection, wisdom and good accomplishments.

My cataract surgery was successful (thanks for your prayers) and Linda has felt better and stronger this week. (Thanks again for your prayers!)

Have a wonderful time in church tomorrow.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update July 18

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Phil 4.6-7

Yes, I am sending this a day early. The reason being, I want to ask you to pray for Linda as she speaks at a women' meeting tomorrow morning. Several important government officials and their wives are expected to be present, plus women from all across the city. Many of them are not Christians. After speaking, Linda has been asked to make an altar call. Pray that many of those present will come to know the Savior.

I would also like for you to pray for me - next Tuesday morning I am scheduled for a cataract surgery on my right eye. The left one was done some time back, and is fine. So, thanks for your prayers.

Good friends Ken and Deany Lowry would really appreciate your prayers, especially from 22 July – 10 August as they “prayer walk” and minister to church groups in Dublin, London Aberdeen and Edinburgh.

This morning I attended the graduation of Stephanie Collin from nuersing school. Stephanie is the daughter of Steve Collins (my cousin) and Juanita Anaya, my secretary. (They are married! For over 26 years.) We are proud of Stephanie. Pics below.

God bless you - have a wonderful weekend. And thank for your prayers.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update July 11

Dear Friend,

Greetings and Heavenly Blessings "The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;" Ps 20

Glory! What a week. We celebrated the 36th anniversary at the Angulo Center last Sunday. 8 people prayed for salvation. Two more prayed in cell meetings during the week and one prayed in the "Clinic for Souls" (a visitor came to the Center office during the week.)

One of our young ladies graduated from medical school on Friday. Congratulations, Paty Rivera. She overcame MANY obstacles and difficulties (beyond those ordinary for the medical student) and finished her course.

I am attaching our July Good News from Mexico (Vol 44 No.6)

Thanks ever so much for your prayers for us and the ministry here in Mexico.

Have a blessed, exciting day worshiping Father with His family in His House tomorrow.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update July 4

Greetings and blessings,

"So shall My word be which goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me empty, Without accomplishing what I desire, And without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it." Isa 55.11

The Angulo church celebrates its 36th anniversary tomorrow. Hundreds of people have come to the Lord across those years. 15 churches have been born out of the ministry of the Angulo church. And quite a few preachers have been trained and sent out to minister. Praise the Lord.

This month (July) we begin our 43rd year of broadcasting our daily 15 minute "Agua Viva" radio program. I am simply amazed and full of praise to God for how He has blessed and used that program. Thousands of correspondence Bible courses have been sent to radio listeners; many people have come to salvation in Jesus, many miracles have been reported back through letters and personal visits, and hundreds and hundreds of Gordon Lindsay booklets have been freely sent to those that requested them.

This week we have already had 5 people pray for salvation - in cell meetings and visitation ministry. We are trusting God for a great day of Harvest tomorrow in our anniversary celebration.

As always, we are so much aware of the help and blessings that your prayers have meant to the work here. Such faithful prayer warriors such as you have truly made the difference.

Have a blessed 4th of July weekend ...and God bless America!

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update June 27

Greetings and blessings from Acatlan de Juarez, Mexico.

My body is in Mexico tonight, but my heart is in Memphis, TN. My brother-in-law, Norman Fast is being buried on Monday. I REALLY wanted to be there with my sister and the family. However, several things impeded, including the stitches in the incision on my neck. Our love and prayers are with them there.

We had a good day Sunday - three people received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit in the ministry time. A lady named Lina visited in the service. She told us how 33 years ago she had gotten saved and healed in the Angulo church. And German Aleman ("German" is pronounced "herMAHN") told how he was assaulted during the week. The thief demanded his money. He said, "Why should I give you my money?" The thief said because I told you to." German - "I don't have to. Can't you see I am not alone?" The thief - "What do you mean, you're not alone?" German - "What? You can't see these to giant angels right behind me?" We don't know if he DID see them, or what, but the thief took off running a hard as he could.

The new mission celebrated their first service and had a man pray for salvation. 2 people prayed to receive Jesus in Tepic as well.
And the Puerto Vallarta church celebrated their fifth anniversary!

At this moment a large number of our people are celebrating an Encounter Retreat. They will report back tomorrow evening in the service at Angulo. We expect some powerful testimonies of God's dramatic work in their hearts and lives.

Next Sunday (July 4th) the Angulo church celebrates its 36th anniversary! What stories we could share with you of those years and God's faithfulness and grace!

Thank you for praying for us and the ministry here. Linda is holding up - but still not gaining any weight back. Please pray about that, will you?

God bless you. Have a wonderful day at church tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update June 20

Greetings, Blessings, and Happy Father's Day to all the dads.

We had one young lady receied the Lord Sunday. 2 people prayed for salvation in Tepic, also.

(BTW the public schools in Tepic as well as the rest of that state of Nayarit closed a month early - due to the severe drug war violence. Please pray.)

We launched a new mission out of our downtown Angulo church this week. 29 people met together Wednesday night for their first service. First Sunday service tomorrow.

A good friend, pastor Noe Salinas passed away of a heart attack this week. Appreciate your prayers for his family and congregation. It was sudden - unexpected.

I am attaching our May-June Good News From Mexico prayer letter to this. It id PDF format.

God bless you. Again, thank you for your prayers for us here.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update June 13

Greetings and blessings from Mexico.

Its been quite a busy week. The Boudon family (missionaries from Chile) lost their 22 year old daughter when their house burned down. She was deaf and apparently suffocated in the smoke before the rest of the family were awakened by the fire. The Church in Guadalajara is joining together to help meet thier needs - they lost everything material.

We had a very good youth meeting last Saturday. And One person came to the Lord on Sunday at the Angulo church.

We have a new cell group - Felix and Ofelia are leading it. And a new mission church starting next Sunday. One of our pastors is starting with the cell groups in that area. You can see there is work to be done on the rented locale.

Rainy season is about to get under way here - and we are looking forward to it - the weather will be much cooler.

Thank you for your prayers - truthfully we´ll never know in this life how effective and important they are.

Oh - you've heard it before, but someone put this on FB this week. "
Going to church doesn't make you a christian any more than standing in a garage makes you a car." I thought - True. But for each it a good place to be.

Have a glorious day in Father's House tomorrow.

In Him,

Roger & Linda
