Update December 20

Christmas blessings - Joy, Peace and Good Will.

Just a short one this time - I am attaching the December prayer letter with this update.

I preach in 2 different Centers tomorrow - Tlaquepaque and Angulo. Appreciate your prayers.

Linda is better...thanks for praying for her.

Please pray for Rosalio Rodriguez, a young man with a brain tumor. One of our men witnessed to him on a city bus. Rosalio was deeply touched by his compassion.

I've included a photo of the Los Fresnos cell group. More and more neighborhood kids are attending. Their parents are beginning to show interest, also.

God bless you. Have a wonderful Christmas and a new year full of hope and joy.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update December 13

Greetings and blessings of joy in Jesus. 1 Peter 1:8

Whew! What a week. Linda and I both in competition to see whose cold and cough was the worst. I think she won, but it was pretty close to a tie. We're both better today - me a little more than she! So pray for her the most.

The missions conference was a blessing. The people were inspired and challenged. Linda and I missed the last part (Saturday and Sunday.) But the response was good. Many young people touched, and some feeling a call.

Interestingly enough, on Saturday night (youth night) there were healings, and a young lady delivered demons - in the men's restroom! And a general move of the Holy Spirit.

I have 2 services tomorrow morning, and then we have a young married's get to at Linda's House in the evening.

I missed sending my update end. But lots of you must have been praying...we felt it. Thank you for your prayers, always.

Have a wonderful day in the Lord's House and stay healthy!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update November 29

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

I just got back from the annual March for Jesus here in Guadalajara. Every year the numbers have grown. This was the largest number yet. (Pics below)

Our annual Missions Week starts in the morning. I am preaching on missions, and then a young Mexican lady, missionary to Egypt and a Mexican missionary to Cuba will speak from Thursday through Sunday. Please pray for the response - faith promise commitments, and commitments to pray for these and other Mexican missionaries the church supports...and for the Lord of the Harvest to call forth laborers for the Harvest!

We had people pray for salvation both at the downtown Center (Angulo) and our missions. Several testimonies of healings received, as well. PTL.Thanksgiving - we were invited to the Sirloin Stockade here in Guadalajara by our Sahuayo pastor and his wife, Joel and Vickie. I dedicatd Joel to the Lord when he was a baby! My! How the years fly!

I mentioned last week that Linda is better. Thanks for your prayers for her.

Have a joyous experience worshiping God in His House with some of His other kids!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update November 22

Greetings, Blessings.

Well, we had a busy, but rather routine week. Sunday was part of a long weekend (puente) and attendance was down a bit downtown at Angulo Center church. One lady came to the Lord - Juliana from Tepic. She was here because of the long weekend. Her sister brought her to church and the Lord touched her heart. She's going to attend our mission church in Tepic when she goes home.

Linda is better! Thanks so much to all who prayed for her these past days. We never did discover the reason for the pain, but its gone.

Have a happy Thanksgiving, everybody! In the midst of it all we have so much to be thankful for. God is so good!

Bless you - have a great time celebrating His Life in His House.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update November 15

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

Well, here we are! In Guadalajara, not Dallas. We have tickets, and plans, but Linda came down with severe abdominal pains a couple of days before we were to leave. So we postponed our trip until later.

We haven't been back to Texas (or anywhere in the USA) for over 2 years now - and we are anxious to see those great grandkids that are growing up so fast! Well, we want to see the kids and grandkids, too, of course.

We had 2 new people pray to receive the Lord Sunday. And Sister Elisa shared how the Lord had healed her eye as she listened to our Agua Viva program that morning. After she gave her testimony, four other people shared testimonies of healing and special answers to prayer. Anselmo's mother was to be operated on for cancer, but after prayer, the doctors couldn't find the cancer and so they sent her home.

We are expecting another great, fun day tomorrow, too. We know that your prayers are a very important part of the blessings we experience here. We are so thankful to God for you and for your prayers for us and the ministry.

God bless you - Its Sonday, so have a great time in His House...with His people.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

I am uploading this month’s prayer letter. We appreciate very much your prayers and support for us and for the Lord’s work here in Mexico.

Have an exciting day with God’s people in His House Sunday.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update October 18

Greetings and rich, manifold blessings in Jesus.

A week full of meetings! That's what this was. Pastors' meetings here in Guadalajara (God is doing great things in The Church here.) More and more unity, and working together God is fulfilling Ps 133 promises.

Also busy getting a month's radio programs on CD's to send out to the sations. Pray for the programs, please. We had 2 people come to the Lord on Sunday; one young person at the Saturday youth meeting.

I remember the joy in Heaven over one lost person repenting, so we do rejoice - yet as we look on the millions of people still unreached, we can rejoice, but not be satisfied.

We are expecting GOOD services tomorrow...pray for us. And pray with us about the dengue fever plague going on in Guadalajara these days. please.

God bless you there...Open Heavens...and a Heavenly downpour.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update October 11

Greetings and Blessings in Jesus!

Linda and I spoke Friday night at the graduation of another Titus 2 course. One of the ladies memorized 123 verses and 2 whole chapters during the course. Another memorized 70 verses. All of them had to memorize an assigned number, but these went beyond the assignment.

One of them, Carmen was healed of cancer when she and her husband visited us at the Angulo Center several months ago. Another lady told how she had been a drug addict prostitute before coming to know the Lord.

Five people prayed for salvation at the Angulo Center last Sunday. Tepic reported one new convert, as well.

Linda and I were at doctor’s offices and labs this week. At her insistence I had some studies done – I do that every 30 years or so. Everything looks good. But her cough persists! Please pray we can get her healed of it. It is physically draining on her.

We’re excited about the services and activities tomorrow. The message is on Our Dominion as Kingdom Citizens.

I also recorded another message (Forgiveness) on the Symphonique website (see in the list below.) Pray God will use it for His glory. And I have discovered that a station in Guatemala continues to play our Agua Viva programs, without charge.

I have a trip to Baton Rouge this week – please pray with me concerning that. Your prayers in all areas of the ministry and activities here are a powerful blessing. Thank you for praying.

God bless you in church tomorrow – May His Presence be precious and powerful!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update October 3

Greetings in the Name of the King of Kings!

We had a wonderful time in Mexico City - celebrating with Pastor Carlos Torres, the family and the congregation on the 25th anniversary of the work there. God gave us a good trip over there and back. Beautiful services, and much rejoicing. We saw friends we hadn't seen for a long time...that was good, too.

We got back to Guadalajara Monday morning and took off straight for Sahuayo and the pastors' meeting there. Five of our pastors and wives couldn't be there - mainly sickness. Lots of dengue fever here these days...the rain then the mosquitos. But we had a great meeting.

Here in Guadalajara at the Angulo church downtown 3 people came to the Lord and they had a baptismal service, too. Tomorrow is missions Sunday. We receive faith promises and missions offerings tomorrow.

I am uploading our October Good News from Mexico prayer letter. Did you know this is volume #43 and issue #10? What a faithful God we serve!

I remind you in the letter - I'll remind you here, too - your prayers are so important. Thank you for praying for us and the ministry here.

Have a great day tomorrow in Father's House, wherever you are.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update September 27

Greetings and blessings in Jesus!

In a few minutes Linda and I leave for Mexico City to minister in the congregation Carlos Torres started 25 years ago.Carlos is my son Gerray's brother-in-law. We are looking forward to this event and fellowship.

Last Sunday 4 people received the Lord. We have a baptismal service today at the Angulo Center church. These ar exciting days - and especially as we see how God is moving among the young people here.

Please pray for the hundreds of people who will gather this evening in one of Guadalajara's principal plazas - to intercede for Mexico and the nations. This plaza was used for the inquisition activities in Guadalajara in the time when all of that was going on.
May the Lord redeem the innocent blood shed there through the intercessions and repentance of His people today.

Monday we have a quarterly pastors' meeting in Sahuayo, Michoacán. Please pray for the safe travels of all the pastors and their wives to and from the meeting.

We say it often....thank God even more often...your prayers are such a blessing and help to us and the ministry here. Thank you for praying for us.

God bless you...may the Lord pour out His grace and peace on you abundantly tomorrow as you gather with the other saints.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update September 20

Greetings and blessings of grace, mercy and peace.

This past Wednesday we celebrated a special Independence Day service (Sept 16) at the down town Angulo Center. It was a great time...full house...23 people came to the altar to receive Jesus, and then all kinds of delicious Mexican food.

Last Sunday 8 people prayed for salvation. It was a good week. We praise God for His blessings.

Next Sunday Linda and I will be in Mexico City (world's largest city) to help celebrate the 25th anniversary of Carlos Torres' congregation. Carlos is the son of our consuegro Victor Torres. Bro Victor is our son Gerray's father-in-law. We'd appreciate your prayers for that trip and those services.

Good reports continue to come in from the mission church outreaches and Linda's Titus 2 program as well as the daily radio broadcasts. Your prayers are such a vital part of what God is doing in those areas. Thank you for praying.

As you pray, please remember Juan and Rosie...our pastors in the Puerto Vallarta mission. They lost a baby this past week..5 month along in her pregnancy. They nearly lost Rosie, too. He blood pressure went dangerously low, but she is OK now. But the pain of their loss is still fresh.

God bless you. Have a joyful time of worship and the Word in His House today with His people.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update September 13

Greetings and blessings!

Short update, but Sept letter posted.

We had 5 people pray for salvation in the service last Sunday.

People are still getting filled with the Spirit and healed. God is so good!

Linda did a great job on teaching about strongholds on Thursday at a local conference. I preached there on Friday on "Power to get it done."

Preaching tomorrow on "Manifesting the Kingdom of God" at the downtown Center (Angulo.)

Busy, busy days, but God is blessing and we are blessed.

Have a wonderful and joyful day in God's house with some of His othe kids.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update September 6

Greetings and Rich Blessings in Jesus, Our Lord.

Your prayers are working! We had a good Sunday, 3 people prayed for salvation and one lady received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. At the mid-week service we prayed for one of the ladies who had fallen off a ladder and injured her back. The Lord healed her and she went home free of pain.

Please pray for us as we minister this week - Linda will be speaking to a conference group Thursday afternoon before our mid.week service at the Angulo Center. I will minister to the same group on Friday afternoon.

We have a very special service coming up on the 16th of this month. September 16 is Mexico's Independence Day. Pray with us that many new people will come to the Lord in that service.

Please pray for Susana's mother, Graciela. Susana is the wife of one of our pastor. Her mother is in the hospital in very critical condition. She is only 66 years old.

Thank you for praying. Have a great time of worship and fellowship in God's House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update August 30

Greetings and blessings in the Name of our Redeemer!"

But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption" 1 Cor 1.30

We had one person pray for salvation in the service last Sunday. That one plus several others who received the Promise of the Father brought on a time of powerful celebration of people gathered at the altar.

We ask you to pray for a young lady by the name of Blanquita (picture below). We got a call asking us to visit her in her home. She is dying of MS and her time seems to be very short. When one of our couples visited them, Blanquita and her mother and 2 neighbor ladies gave their hearts to the Lord. We believe God is able to heal Blanquita - would you pray for that with us?

And we seem to be nearing the anser concerning our immigration paper work (change of address.) Please pray for that to be accomplished quickly, now.

Have you seen the website GodRev.com? Go there, then click on "Joy in Heaven" and watch as people all around the world pray to receive the Lord Jesus. Almost 10,000 prayed that prayer this last week. Check it out!

God bless you - we deeply appreciate your prayers for us and the Lord's work here.

Have a great Lord's Day!
Roger & Linda

Update August 9

Greetings and blessings this Sunday morning!

Thank you for praying for the youth camp this week. They have until noon today to finish. 350 youth - God is doing wonderful things in their lives. I preached to them yesterday morning, and though it was the sixth main service, still one young man prayed for salvation. And the Lord baptized about 50 of them with the Holy Spirit!

We had 2 people pray for salvation last Sunday at Angulo - 6 the week before. Some others in the cell meetings, but I don't have that report in hand yet.

I have an album of the youth camp on Facebook.

Personal: My eye is doing good after the cataract surgery and Linda's exam's didn't show anything serious. Praise the Lord for that. Thank you for your prayers!

Have a joyous day worshiping Father in His House.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update August 2

Greetings and Choice blessings,

Just a short message today - and our Good News from Mexico letter uploaded.

The pastors' meeting last Monday was a blessing and joy. What a great team of pastors the Lord has allowed us to raise up. Their messages were good, and the fellowship, too.

Six people prayed for salvation last Sunday at Angulo. Several others also came to the Lord in home meetings and counseling.

Our youth camp is this week - August 5-9. Please pray for this event...it always makes a powerful impact on the lives of the young people there. I get to minister to them on Saturday.

Thank you for praying for us! It is so vital. And such an encouragement to know you are praying.

Have a richly blessed and joyful time at church today.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update July 26

Greetings of Grace and Peace.

Linda and I just returned from a funeral. Sister Gregoria was one of our earliest members at the Angulo Center. 81 years old, and now she is with Jesus. Its such a blessing to KNOW the one we bury is with Jesus. I tell the people all the time, "You owe it to your loved ones to believe on Jesus and live in such a way that they know you are in Heaven."

Last Sunday 4 new people prayed for salvation at the Angulo church. Two more at the Tepic mission church, and two across town at the Tonala church.

Sunday night a lady received healing in hearing at the Angulo service, and 2 people baptized in the Holy Spirit at the Tonala church.

Last night at the Los Fresnos cell meeting a couple received the Lord, as well. Praise be to God!

Monday we have a quarterly pastors' meeting here in Guadalajara. These times of fellowship and inspirational teaching are always a blessing. Please pray for safe travel for all the pastors and their wives.

The picture is of associate pastor Octavio and his wife, Rosalba. They visited the village of one of our men and 5 people prayed for salvation.

Thank you for your prayers. Have a wonderful Lord's Day celebration with some of God's kids in your area.

In Him,

Roger and Linda

Update July 19

Greetings and abundant blessings of Grace and Peace.

We had a busy and unusual week...unusual because for one thing I had a small surgery. In my 75 years I have spent on night in a hospital and previously had not undergone any surgeries at all (oh, well, I did have a small boil removed from my arm a few years ago.) I praise the Lord for the good health He has given me.

The cataract surgery was successful, and I am fine. Better than my resident nurse (Linda) thinks I am. Anyhow...

We had 2 people receive the Lord last week here in the Angulo service, and Sister Josephine had 3 ladies pray for salvation in her cell. And 2 more people in the Tepic mission church. Praise the Lord

Our children's leaders have a group of kids on an encounter this weekend. We are expecting good reports from that event tomorrow.

Your prayers are such a powerful part of the blessings we experience here...we appreciate them more than we can say.

May the Lord grant you a glorious time in His House and in His Presence.

In His Name,

Roger & Linda

Update July 10

Greetings and Many Blessings!

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. Ps 68.19

We celebrated the Angulo church's 35th annivesary last Sunday. Seven people prayed for salvation. And we had "dinner on the grounds" inside the church afterward. Many kinds of delicious Mexican food!

I am sending this on Friday because we want you to pray for Linda as she ministers tomorrow morning to a ladies' meeting here in the Guadalajara area. Then on Sunday I am ministering in the church of one of my "sheep" - a pastor in the city. It is the 17th anniversary of their church. We appreciate your prayers for us as we minister His Word.

Linda and I took my sister, Ann, to Lake Chapala one day last week. We were eating in a lakeside restaurant when a sparrow decided that Linda wanted to share her rice! I thought, "God feeds the sparrows, and sometines He lets us help Him!" I hope you can see the little sparrow.

Also I would appreciate your prayers as I am to undergo cataract surgery next Tuesday (July 14.)

Your prayers are so important to us. Thank you for praying.

God bless - and have a wonderful Lord's Day on the 12th.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update July 5

Greetings and Rich Blessings,

Here we are, already beginning the second half of 2009!

We are in the Angulo church’s anniversary celebration. 35 years ago Linda and initiated this local church, the first of 8 Centros de Fe (Faith Centers) here in Guadalajara.

Since moving to Guadalajara we have also helped start churches in Tepic, Salamanca, Colima, El Grullo, Autlan, Union de Tula, Zamora, Sahuayo and Ocotlan.

Last week one person received the Lord here at the Angulo church, and one lady was filled with the Holy Spirit. Three people received the Lord at the Tepic mission, too,

I am attaching a little testimony story this week. I hope it blesses somebody.

Thanks for your prayers for us – the churches, the radio ministry and the Bible correspondence courses.

Have a blessed forth of July weekend (God bless America) and a great time worshipping Father in His House tomorrow.

In Him,

Roger & Linda
--------
The Shawl

The notary public lawyer was a man who heard our radio broadcast and began to come by regularly at the end of our midweek meeting to chat. We became good friends, and he eventually prayed for salvation.

He was a man who placed great importance on material things. He drove a fancy car, had a diamond tie clasp, an expensive money clip and was friends with the governor and other important people.

Hermana (Sister) Lupita was a thin, emaciated lady who had a big mountain of problems when she first heard our radio program. She was sickly, her husband an alcoholic, and she owed tons of money.

On top of all that, her only source of income was a small stand where she sold cold cuts – and business was bad!

Hermana Lupita got saved, healed, filled with the Holy Spirit and began to tithe. Her husband also came to the lord and was delivered of alcoholism.

We were in a fund-raising campaign and at the end of a midweek service, as the lawyer and I were chatting, she came up to me and said because se got there late she had missed the offering time. She reached her hand inside the shawl she was wearing, drew out an envelope and handed it to me.

She turned to leave…but then turned back, stuck her hand inside the shawl and bought out another envelope. Her missions offering.

Again, she started to leave, but stopped. Turning once more to us she thrust her hand again inside the shawl and drew out a fat envelope – her contribution to the fund-raiser.

I saw the lawyer eyeing that shawl! I could almost hear him thinking, “How much would she take for it? That’s better than the goose that laid the golden eggs!” And I thought, “Friend, it’s not the shawl. It’s her obedience in tithing and generosity in giving, and God is prospering her just as He promised.

Update June 28

Dear Friend,

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

We had no one pray for salvation last Sunday And Tepic didn't either. We did have two people pray in the Los Fresnos cell/mission, and I reported the 5 baptized in water and 10 filled with the Holy Spirit at the Encounter Retreat last weekend.

We are gearing up for the Angulo church's 35th anniversary NEXT sunday (July 5.) And that is also mid-term national election day here in Mexico. So please pray for the anniversary campaign as well as the elections. Several of the candidates are Christians, including a good friend of ours, running for the senate.

Thanks so much for your prayers for us and the work here. God bless you, and may you be blessed in a special way as you worship Him with His people tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update June 21

Greetings and rainy day blessings from west central Mexico!

The rainy season has started here - lots of rain, thunder and lightning and cooled down temperatures! Praise the lord!

A busy week past - including a trip to Mexico City - the world's largest metropolis. Good services, and satsifying results.

2 Received the Lord in the Angulo church Sunday - 2 at the Tepic mission, two at the Fresnos mission and 2 more in Josefina's cell meeting. Maybe more, but those for sure.

The Encounter Retreat bunch just got back. 5 baptised in water and 10 filled with the Holy Spirit, and all excited about what God did in their lives in those 48 hours!

Our 35th anniversary for the Angulo church is upon us...our pastor from Autlan (down south from Guadalajara) reminded me that he got saved at our 3rd anniversary campaign in 1978. Pray with us that many more will get saved in this coming anniversary campaign.

It is truly gratifying to look back across many years and see God's work of grace and power in so many lives. God is so good. What a joy to serve Him.

We are ever cognizant of the fact that the Lord has supplied our needs and kept us on the field all these years through the faithful praying and giving of folk like you - and we are thankful. To Him and to you.

Have a blessed and joy filled week ahead serving others in His Name.

Roger & Linda

Update June 14

Greetings to you, and rich blessings!

For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.
Ps 84.11-12

Its been a fast, busy, blessed, but HEAVY week. We are making weighty decisions, and need lots of prayer, please.

Octavio and Rosalba, cell leaders, reported 2 more people receiving the Lord this week. And 4 received the Lord in the Sunday service.

Some of our leaders and a bunch of our kids took part in a “Missionary Adventure” today. A young African from Kenya was present, along with his missionary friend. It was a wild time! Good seeds for missions sown in tender young hearts!

Please pray for the Encounter Retreat we are celebrating this next weekend. And for all the “encounterees” to have a powerful, life-changing encounter with the Lord.

God bless you and may you have a powerful encounter with Him, as well, as you worship in His House tomorrow.

Thanks ever so much for your faithful prayers.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update June 7

Greetings and Blessings in Jesus,

" I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus." Phil 3:14

I have thought much about the prize and the price. I believe many that fail or fall in their faith do so because they get their eyes off the prize and start focusing on the price instead. There is a price - but the prize is worth it!

Next month we start our 42nd year of daily 15 minute radio broadcasts here in Mexico (and beyond.) Agua Viva - a short, simple program, but how God has blessed it and used it.

I was in a pastors' meeting this week and chatting with a young pastor before we started, I discovered that his grandmother had gotten saved listening to the program many years ago. She was the first believer in that family. Now her son and grandson are pastors.

Octavio Nava is one of our pastors - he was ministering in the Los Fresnos community in south Guadalajara last week. Three young blind fellows were listening...they had been into drugs and had become blind as a result. All three gave their hearts to Jesus. And two people received the Lord Sunday in the Angulo church service, and one more at the Tepic mission. PTL.

Thank you for praying for us and the ministry here. It helps more than you know.

Have a great day worshipping the Lord tomorrow, together with His family there.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update May 31

Greetings and blessings in JesĂşs.

Thank you for praying for the travelers last Monday…traveling to the Quarterly Pastors’ Meeting in Colima. Everyone got there and back to their homes safely.

We had an excellent meeting. These preacher kids of mine (some of them are grand parents now!) are good preachers.
We had good preaching, good food and good fellowship.

Last Sunday we had 4 people pray for salvation at the Angulo Center, and a family of five prayed in one of our cells. Praise God.

There is a growing and powerful prayer movement going on in Mexico. I believe we can begin to sense a change in the atmosphere!

And “mid-term” elections are this July and there are a number of committed Christian men running for important offices.

What a wonderful thing it is to be able to send emails…and have events covered before they happen. I always wrote my mother on Mondays, and even so she received the letter long after the event took place.

I say that because your prayers DO play such a vital part in what we do here! Thank you for praying for us and the work!

Have a wonderful, blessed day in Father’s House where you are.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update May 24

Greetings and Blessings this Sunday afternoon!

Yessiree. Got in too late last night to get the emails out. Its been a busy…no, hectic week. Yesterday was filled with interruptions as I worked on messages for Sunday and Monday.

And a part on the program celebrating a fellow pastor friend and his wife’s 25th wedding anniversary.

Monday we have our quarterly Pastors’ Meeting in Colima, a beautiful little city 2 hours and 30 minutes south of Guadalajara.

Pastors from 5 states will be gathering for a time of fellowship, teaching and rest.

Please pray with us for safe travel for all of the pastors and their wives.

We had one come to the Lord last Sunday at the Angulo Center. Five more in one of our new cells, and three at the new Tepic mission. Praise the Lord.

Our youth meeting last night was blessed. Attendance was sub par…everything seems to be a little bit so as we recover from being shut down by the swine flu thing.

Los Fresnos cell/mission continues to be a “hot spot” of activity.

This Friday Brother Octavio and Rosalba did an outdoor movie there…had a good audience. And a good group of kids for their lesson.

Thank you for your prayers for us and the work…they are such a blessing!

Have a wonderful week…may the Lord use you to bless someone in a special way this week!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

May 17 Update

Greetings...and Blessings 1 Peter 3.9

Praise the Lord, we are back to church here. 2 Sundays without meetings in the building. The second Sunday we were better prepared...had 17 homes and almost 200 attending. We were arranging more homes for the 17th, but the curfew was terminated Thursday morning. PTL.

The Gideons International released some 30,000 New Testaments for distribution in Mexico in light of the flu epidemic. One of our men is a Gideon - got us 3000 Testaments. Many of them were distributed to homes in Los Fresnos yesterday evening. Good results. One woman gave her heart to the Lord right there. (See photo below)

Many of you prayed for Arturo and the surgeries he went through. One of the photos shows him distributing New Testaments. Our Agua Viva program is in its 41st year of daily broadcasts. We don't get that many letters any more, but in meetings and gatherings wherever we go, I hear testimonies of blessings the program has brought.

Thank you for praying for us, the program and the ministry here in Mexico.

Have a blessed and joy filled day in His House with His people.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update Mother's Day

Greetings and Blessings this Mother's Day

I wrote earlier, thinking that was it. Since I wrote the government here has come forward with another directive - canceling all public gatherings (including church services) until May 18!

So we have spent the day mobilizing to get our people in home meetings tomorrow as much as possible. Of course, those that are already in cells are fine - but the rest needed to be directed toward a meeting place tomorrow and for the 17th. We have also already postponed a kids' ministry all day activity and may have to cancel the coming Encounter Retreat (May 15-17.)

Just think. of all the Gospel churches in Mexico (the whole country) that will not have meetings tomorrow and the souls that would have been won to the Lord. Certainly people can be reached in the home meetings, but others could have...would have been reached in the regular services, too. (Oh. One person DID receive the Lord last night in a cell metting in Los Fresnos.) Praise God for that.

Help us pray this virus off of the planet, please!

On another note - Happy Mother's Day all you moms.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update May 9

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

I am sending my Saturday evening email a little early this week.

We didn't have anybody saved n the services last Sunday. We didn't HAVE any services. Church meetings all over Mexico were closed last Sunday because of the swine flu scare.

Today, things are getting back to normal. We have services tonight - though I won't be there. I was fine all through the "epidemic" but yesterday got a cough and slight cold! I don't want to scare anybody away from the service. They still have their eye out for people with symptoms (like mine!)

So I'll stay in until Sunday. Thank you for all your prayers for all of us in these days. We expect BIG things Sunday.

Our May Good News is online. This is the 425th edition!! God is good! And sooo faithful!

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update May 3

Greetings and blessings of health and well being (Shalom!)

What a week. We celebrated services here in Guadalajara last Sunday (2 prayed for salvation at the Angulo church and three at the Tepic mission church.) We had a good cell meeting Monday night, but then the government closed down all church meetings until May 6 because of the swine flu thing.

We had one of our highest attendances ever last Sunday - people concerned about the seriousness of this epidemic. No telling what tomorrow would have been...we trust that the concern for their spiritual welfare will continue after the shut-down time for our meetings here in Guadalajara.

We had a good get together with the young married couples class this afternoon - had pozole. Umm! Good!

On another note, please pray for David and Becky Garcia, MRC missionaries to Managua, Nicaragua. Thier 19 year old son was killed Friday in a car accident.

Have a blessed Lord's Day. Enjoy for us, too! And thank you for praying for us and for Mexico.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update April 26

Greetings and lavish heavenly blessings!

It's been a blessed week. The Lord has answered several prayers - manifested some victories and granted us some new members into His Family.

We had 2 pray for salvation last week in the service, another on Thursday and 2 more in Francisco Peña's cell meeting.

We are all praying for the brothers and people in Mexico City - for this swine flu epidemic. I just got a call from Tim Ost - all church services there have been canceled. Contrary to the national (and international) news reports many more people have actually died there than is being reported!

We had our missions committee to breakfast here at "Linda's House" Friday. Planning the next month's activities and the missions week the first week of December.

And we enjoyed a short visit here at the house on Thursday from pastor friend, David Pursifull. He was here in Mexico leading a pastors' strategy meeting. Some of our guys went - very effective.

And our pastor in Leon tells me they celebrated their fourth session of the Titus 2 series Saturday. What a blessing that teaching/training series has been. People are getting saved and healed over there regularly!

Thank you - always for your prayer support for us and the ministry here. It REALLY matters.

Have a wonderful day loving and worshipping Jesus Sunday.

In Him,
Roger and Linda

Update April 19

Greetings and blessings in the Name of our resurrected Lord!

Just a short note - Linda and I took Monday - Wednesday to rest up and catch our breath. Of course, there was still stuff we had to dio, but it was a break.

We had 5 people pray in the service last week downtown at the Angulo church. I enjoyed ministering in an early service across town in the congregation of one of our sons in the ministry. It was there 15th anniversary as a church. I hoped to have a pic or 2, but they haven't sent them to me yet. Maybe next time.

The Lord provided the money to tile the carport roof. I can send a picture of that.

Reports from the mission churches are very good. Tepic, Vallarta and the Lord is moving wonderfully in the Leon church. Its great to get their excited reports.

And Sister Esperanza continues taking her newly formed team to minister at the Civil Hospital. They gave me a list of 40 people who prayed the last two weeks! I need to check that out. Anyhow, that's why we report people who "prayed for salvation." We'll see in a bit if they really got saved. Some folk down here pray several times before it takes!

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers. Linda is doing better. We are looking forward to great services tomorrow.

Be blessed in God's House with some of His other kids tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

April 12 Update

Greetings and Ressurrection blessings!

I did it again this year...same BC picture. I love it!

Praise the Lord for "decisions for Christ." A group of our ladies went to the Civil Hospital cancer ward to minister last Tuesday. They ministered the love of Jesus, and 12 people prayed for salvation. Some of them are terminal.

So-called "Good Friday" we had 2 services and 14 people prayed for salvation. One more prayed to receive the Lord last Sunday. And Tepic reported 2 men receiving the Lord, also.

I would appreciate your prayers for Pastor Martin (Tepic) whos nephew drowned on Thursday. We always for for the Lord's help in those times, and for unsaved family to come to Jesus.

I also appreciate your prayers as I minister in the morning at a church started by a former member of the Angulo Center. Its their 15th "birthday."I preached on Friday morning at another church across town. Was a good meeting. I mentioned it last week.

Thanks for praying.

Have a joyful celebration of Life in His House today.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update April 5

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

Thanks for your prayers...God answers. We had a good week. 4 people prayed in the downtown Angulo church, and 5 in the Tepic church. Colima reports new people coming to Jesus, and so does Sahuayo. Praise God.

This being Easter week, lots of religion in the air. Please pray for our special services this Friday. I will be ministering in a church across town in the morning and we will give 2 showings of The Passion movie downtown in the afternoon and evening.

Sunday morning I preach an early service for a pastor (former member at Angulo) and then we have our regular services at the Angulo church.

The youth had a month of Saturday evangelistic outreach at a main downtown plaza. I have a picture of them below. They did a good job.

Notice the Anahuac Indian monument - it tells their version of the creation story. The statue is a dove with a serpent's tail.

Again, your prayers are such a blessing and encouragement. Thank you.

Have a blessed day in His house with His children today - worshipping Him together.

I'm preaching on "Madurez es ser un dador" (Spiritual maturity is to be a giver)

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update March 29

Greetings and special blessings from Heaven....Eph 1.3-14

Well, here we are at the end of ANOTHER month! April is upon and Easter are upon us. Easter - a very religious time here in Mexico, with great opportunities for evangelism.

Speaking of which - our young people have been witnessing in one of the city's main plazas for the last 3 Saturdays. This evening will be the fourth and last Saturday for now.

Good results - many contacts. Pray with us that the net will reveal a good catch.

We had two people pray at the Angulo meeting and 2 more at the Tepic mission church. Our church in Leon just celebrated a powerful Encounter weekend. They are excited over there with the people receiving Jesus and receiving His healing touch, as well.

You know that you have a hand in all of this - through your prayers for us and the work here. God is doing so many thigs...He is blessing the radio programs, several Titus 2 groups that are meeting presently in various parts of Mexico and the work in the local churches.

Please keep praying - we need it. Pray for our paper work (address change process) to get done and for the religious association process to get finished quickly. And for souls to come to Jesus!

Have a wonderful Lord's Day. God is going to say something special to you in the message and ministry!!

Update March 22

Greetings and rich blessings in Jesus.

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. Jn 4.24

We have had another super busy, super blessed week. Praise the Lord.

Although only 2 people prayed for salvation here in the Angulo congregation last Sunday, we had 6 more received the Lord in a home visit. Three from the home visited, and three from another family!

I talked (Messenger) to the leaders of our new mission in San Blas, Nayarit this week They were excited. In the very first service three new peope prayed to receive the Lord.

I received the Tepic pastor's weekly email report - 10 people accepted the Lord in home ministry and two more in the Sunday meeting. Praise the Lord.

Did I tell you about Rutilo from Leon? He's been suffering with his knees and legs for a long time. He heard our program and prayed with me as I prayed for the sick. The Lord healed him! And three people received healing in the Angulo service Sunday as well. Praise God.

I was reading about the resurrection in Luke 24 this week. After the angel reminded the women what the Lord had said about rising in three days and going before them to Galilee, then they remembered His words.

I thought - how different those three days of waiting would have been if they had remembered His words then, and waited with joyful anticipation of His resurrection!

Lesson: We need to always remember His words...and His works. We'll live a more confident, joyful and victorious life if we do.

Have a wonderful day in Father's House with some of His other kids.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update March 15

Greetings in the Matchless Name of Jesus!

Linda and I give thanks to the Lord for all His benefits (the good things He does and has done for us) as well as for His blessings (the good things He says to us and about us.) Ps 68.19 says He daily LOADS us with benefits!

Last Sunday we had 5 people pray for salvation here in the Angulo church. Tonight the young people are at one of the main plazas here in Guadalajara ministering to the crowds there.

Our Leon Center pastor just emailed me about a man named Rutilo who last week was listening to our program and was healed of a long term malady in his knees. He went to the church to tell the pastor what had happened.

We are still inching our way along the road of bureacracy here...getting our address changed with the Mexican Immigration dept. Please pray we can finally get his accomplished.

I called my dad this afternoon...he celebrated his 97th birthday yesterday, He says, just 3 more to go!

Your prayers are really a wonderful blessing for us...and we appreciate them so much!

Have a blessed and joyful day in the Lord's House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update March 8

Greetings and blessings on a nice Saturday afternoon.

We are working on 2 or 3 projects here…each of which involves ‘way too much bureaucracy and trips and return trips to get each step accomplished. Please pray the Lord will help us expedite matters.

We had 15 pray for salvation in January…only 10 in February here at the Angulo Center…believing for a better month in March!

Your prayers are REALLY a blessing. Please keep praying.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update March 1

Greetings and Heavenly Blessings this Lord’s Day morning!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who through Christ has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. Eph 1.3

Whew! What a busy…what a blessed weekend so far. And we still have all day today to go! The Reencounter was blessed and anointed by the Lord. (Photos below.) We had a little over 50 in attendance the 2 days of teaching and activity. And at the end the Lord baptized 7 people with the Holy Spirit.

During the afternoon sessions 2 young men came in off the street…one of them gave his heart to the Lord before he left!

We had 2 prayed for salvation last Sunday at church and 2 in cells. Pray with us that today we can see more people coming into the Family…into the Kingdom.

Linda is doing much better – and ready to teach her couple’s class today. Arturo Gomez (its been so long you may not remember) had first part of his surgery, a colostomy operation…FINALLY they got around to putting him back together Friday. Thanks for praying. He’s doing well.

We are in the middle of a VERY important transitions in our Mexico ministry…with out churches…please pray for God’s Wisdom and Favor as we go through these adjustments.

Also please pray for paper work relative to our immigration status. We have a MRC board meeting in April – postponed for March – and need this paper work completed in time for the board meeting.

Have a super glorious day today with Father’s other kids in your area…and keep us in your prayers, please!

In Him,
Roger & Linda
