Update August 29

Greetings and blessings this pleasant Saturday afternoon!

We got the Youth Camp report this week. 370 youth attended from 14 churches.

25 young people prayed to get saved during the camp and 63 were filled with the Holy Spirit.

There were also several testimonies of physical healing and 7 young people experienced deliverance of one kind or another.

We have had several communiques from the American consulate here in Guadalajara – warning about danger spots (the drug war.) Hand grenades thrown into crowds of people; now a new tactic (for Mexico) – car bombs.

We were having a planning meal with some team members when one of them mentioned that last week several people were shot down in a gun battle on the avenue in from of the restaurant! We decided to eat and talk fast. (No, just kidding.)

Praying early this morning I was reminded of one of God's titles (Names) – Jehovah Shalom. What a wonderful Name – and assurance. Shalom – security, confidence. Enables us to face today, tomorrow, every day with peace, without fear; free of stress and worry and all anxiety.

The safest place in the world is in the center of His Will.

Our son's father-in-law went to Heaven this week. Gerray, Anita and all the Torres family are in our prayers.

Thank you for your prayers for us and the ministry here. Have a wonderful Lord's Day.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update August 22

Dear Friend,

Greetings in the Name of the Lord Jesus.

What a challenge for us in Paul's declaration in Ephesians 3.20 - to pray, believe attempt, expect dramatic things from and for God!

Last Sunday Linda was really under the weather - she got out from under it, though, and was able to minister to pastors' wives in Aguascalientes. (Photos on Facebook page)

We had 3 pray for salvation last week at Angulo and 3 more at the Estadio mission church. Praise the Lord.

At the recent "quinceaƱera" (15th birthday celebration) in Autlan we met another man who had gotten saved listening to the Agua Viva radio broadcast. Juan Hernandez from Ciudad Guzman. (Photo below.)

I am sending along this month's Good News from Mexico prayer letter, too.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your prayers for us and the ministry here.
"Praying always ...for us, that utterance may be given unto us, that we may open our mouths boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel..."

Update August 15

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

Linda and I got back this morning from the "quinceaƱera" (15th birthday celebration) of the pastor's daughter at our Autlan Centro de Fe (Faith Center.) It was a very nice ceremony - there are always unsaved friends and relatives present at these events, and usually some of them come to the Lord.

I also met a man (Juan) and a lady (can't recall her name) who got saved listening to our Agua Viva program. That's always neat.

And some of the relatives present called to mind tremendous marvels of God's grace when they first came to the Lord.

Linda speaks to a meeting of pastors' wives on Tuesday in the city of Aguascalientes (about 2 1/2 hours away.)
Please pray for her and that meeting - and for her strength. The Autlan trip really tired her out. She's really not feeling well today.

Your prayers are such a blessing - a real encouragement. Thank you for praying for us and the ministry here.

Have a wonderful day in God's House tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Udate August 8

Greetings and blessings in Jesus, Our Lord.

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 14.12

What a promise. Do we believe it? What will happen when we DO?

I just got back from this year’s youth camp. What an alive bunch of people! 360 of them. The theme this year is “Filled with the Spirit.” I spoke to them on “The potential of a Spirit filed life” We had a wonderful response.

Youth camp ends tomorrow at noon. Please pray for a powerful closing to the week there.

I preach tomorrow in our Tapatio Faith Center and in the downtown Angulo Street Faith Center.

I request your prayers for those services, please.

And please pray for Mexico, Drug cartels are at war here…with each other and the government.

Thousands of persons (nobody knows…or will tell how many) have been killed. The Lord is the answer. Pray the leaders of the nation will see that.

One of our men met with a small group of pastors last Wednesday to pray for the mayor of one of Guadalajara’s suburbs, They are beginning to understand.

Four people prayed for salvation at the new mission, “Mision Estadio.” Praise the Lord. They are growing.

God is moving – Your prayers are helping! Thank you.

Have a wonderful day in His House tomorrow.

In Him,

Roger & Linda
