Update April 22

Greetings and Heaven-sent blessings in Jesus.

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ"  Eph 1.3

As we praise the Lord for all His benefits, or as the hymn says, "Count your blessings" we can find no stopping place. I can't keep count of all the past blessings, and meantime He continues to pour out more and more. Glory!

We had a good week and seven people came to the Lord in the services. One of the areas where the Lord is blessing strongly is the Buenos Aires neighborhood. Buenos Aires is a poor area of the city, and there is much vandalism along with drug dealing and use. And yet, the Lord is invading the area with His love and power!

Pictures are of Angel, a man who was totally immobile when Pastor Octavioa nd his team first visited their home. As Ocatvio witnessed to him,he received the Lord, indicating it with a blink of the eye. That was all he could move in his whole body. With Angel are my cousin Steve and Pastor Octavio (and Abel - one of our young people.)

Octavio told his a Bible story that led to his salvation. Then Octavio told him healing stories from the Bible. On each visit Angel has shown definite improvement. His wife and several others have come to be followers of Jesus as a result of Angel's healing.

The other photo is of one of the youth of the neighborhood. The Lord is breaking through the drug culture they are prisoners of as Octavio and his team just share Bible stories with them. Some of these young kids have killed for the drug cartel people. Their fee? $500 pesos (almost $50 USD!) There are hundreds of such youth all over the city. How glorious to see the power of God's Word bring deep changes in their hearts, and lives.

God bless you this Lord's Day in His House with His people! And thank you, always, for your prayers for us and the ministry here. Linda is slowly but surely gaining strength...she has a long way to go, but progress is being made! Praise God.
In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update April 15

Greetings and Blessings from Mexico.

“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10.22

“Count your blessings, name them one by one” – easier said than done, because they are so many!

We are doing Bible story telling in all of our Word ministry these days. What a powerful thing it is proving to be!

Pastor Octavio and wife Rosalba are raising up a mission in a section of Guadalajara called Buenos Aires. They found Angel Hernandez totally bedfast and absolutely unable to talk. He was absolutely helpless.

Octavio told him stories from the Bible. That started about a month ago. This past week he is sitting up and able to talk.
He has prayed for salvation and his family tells everyone, “When these brothers started coming, Angel was not able to move or talk. Now look at him.”

The story that brought him to faith in the Savior was about the thief on the Cross, and how he cried out to Jesus to save him.

Linda is still slowly improving. Little by little. We are so thankful for her progress. Thanks so much for praying.

We had a strong quake here last week and numerous aftershocks. Signs of His soon coming!

While you are praying, please remember Brenda. She lives in Ahualulco, a small town not far from Guadalajara. Doctor Paty Rivera from our church met her while doing her internship in that town. Brenda was a total non believer. She is coming along in her faith. But it is such a violent and dangerous drug infested place. Twenty seven people have been killed in the last seven days there. She fears for her life.
What a powerful thing prayer is! Yours are so important and so effective. We appreciate them more than we can say!

Have a blessed time in Father’s House with some of His other kids.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update April 8

Resurrection Greetings from Mexico!

“…the glorious fact is that Christ was raised from the dead: he has become the very first to rise of all who sleep the sleep of death.” 1 Cor. 15.20 (Philips)

What a powerful, wonderful message we have to proclaim to a hurting, suffering, dying world!

In Mexico it’s not “Easter” – it’s “Holy Week” and “Resurrection Day.” I like that better than Easter.

And the Living Lord continues to manifest His Love, Power, and Grace as we tell His Story.

The children’s church did the drama last week before the message. It was about the four friends who brought a paralyzed friend to Jesus. They couldn’t get close enough, so they went up on the roof, tore a big hole in it and let him down in front of Jesus…and Jesus forgave him and healed, when He saw their faith!

I included some photos of the children’s drama. And also some baptism pictures. 22 people were baptized last Sunday.

I was in Dallas/Arlington for a missions conference week before last. And I also had some good visits with 3 generations of family. Best kids, smartest grandkids and sweetest great grandkids you ever saw! (Forgive my pride.) You can see pics of them on Facebook.

No episode this week. Maybe next week. Anyhow, thanks for your prayers and love. Linda is better…still has quite a way to go to healthiness, but getting there. Up four pounds last week! Praise God!

Have a blessed and victory day in His House celebrating the Living Savior.

In Him,
Roger & Linda
