Update - September 30

Greetings on this busy Saturday evening.

We spent much of yesterday doing things at Linda’s House…they put up curtains and I tested the rocker!

We had our quarterly regional pastors’ meeting Monday. Very good. Tim Ost was the speaker – did a good job.
We had our bimonthly youth meeting tonight – very good!

We had 2 people pray for salvation in the service last Sunday.
Linda has really recovered well from the surgery.
We have much to praise the Lord for, including your prayers for us and the work. Thank you for caring and praying.
Have great Lord’s Day tomorrow.

September Newsletter

September 2007

Dear Friend,

You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore. Psalm 16.11

Guadalajara Center activities
Re-Encounter retreat for the young people
As I write the young people are on a re-encounter retreat over the weekend. These retreats have been super productive in ministering deeply in the lives of the “encounterees” and in fanning the flames of zeal and commitment to the ministry of the church in the community.

Gearing up for coming activities
We are working with other churches and pastors in preparation for the coming “March for Jesus” here in Guadalajara, plus our own local church missions conference early December.

The Harvest continues
We are still rejoicing over souls that come to the Lord week by week. Each person is so special, and so precious to the Lord and us. Still, we feel sometimes that we are trying to reap this abundant harvest of souls with a sickle, when what we need is a giant combine! We did see over 80 people pray for salvation the first alf of 2007, however. Praise God.

Titus 2 Conference
Linda and her team are celbrating a Titus 2 conference on October 6. This will be a gathering of the many ladies who have taken the course over the last decade. The Lord has done some truly miraculous things in many marriages through this outreach.

LINDA AND LINDA’S HOUSE PROJECT
Linda’s surgery was successful and her recuperation rapid and uncomplicated! For which we praise God and thank you for your prayers for her.

Linda’s house is just waiting for Linda to be back on her feet enough to start moving in! We should begin next week. It will take some time, but we are ready to begin the process! Praise God again!

We have been so blessed and encouraged by the aprticipation of so many of you in your prayers and in your gifts for this project. God bless you!

Two pictures of the local church’s Independence Day service are below. September 16 is Mexico’s “4th of July.”

Thank you again for your prayers and love. God bless you, “real good.”

In Him,

Roger and Linda

Greetings to you…in the exalted Name of the Lord Jesus! Eph. 1:21

We had a good directors’ meeting (for the Centers of Faith in Mexico) in Monterrey.

We had 3 people pray for salvation last week.

Linda’s surgery went very well, and her recovery is going very well, also. Praise God. (Thanks for praying.)

We have our regional pastors’ meeting on Monday (Sept 24) here in the Tapatio Center. Please pray for safe travel for pastors coming from 5 states.

If Linda is up to it…we start moving stuff in earnest next week to “Linda’s House”!

Update, September 16

Greetings and Blessings in Jesus, Our Great Deliverer!

INDEPENDENCE DAY IN MEXICO
Today is 16 September…Mexico’s Independence Day. In the Mexico as in the USA – we have the joy of many liberties and national independence. Looking at other parts of the world, we can easily recognize how blessed we are! In studying for today’s message I discovered there are at least 27 million slaves in the world today! We are so blessed! Living a country where there is freedom and knowing Jesus and the spiritual and moral freedom we have in Him!

LINDA’S SURGERY
Thank you for praying for us – for Linda – and her surgery. She came through with flying colors. A little discomfort today – but everything was benign. Praise God. Our daughter-in-law, Paty West is here from Dallas to help care for Linda. She’s a blessing!

LAST SUNDAY’S REPORT
5 people prayed for salvation. Very good meetings. Praise the Lord. We are expecting great things today as we celebrate our Independence Day Sunday.

PRAYER REQUESTS
Please pray for Linda's full recovery from the surgery. Please pray for Pastor Juan Acosta and me as we travel to Monterrey for Directors’ meeting for the Center of Faith, Hope and Love in Mexico Monday.

We return Wednesday evening to Guadalajara. Please pray for the Re- Encounter Retreat we will be celebrating September 21-23 for the young people of our congregation. Then on the 24th we have our quarterly regional pastors’ meeting here in Guadalajara.

THANK YOU
Your prayers are so important – and make much more difference than you really know. We appreciate them so very much.

Have a glorious day in Father’s House today.

Update, Sepetmber 9

Greetings to you late this Saturday afternoon.

I have been finishing up the message for tomorrow – titled “Lord Jesus, Teach About Joy” Last week we talked about “Lord Jesus, Teach us how to be rich with God”

Linda’s house – Closer and Closer. Protection is on! Pic below of one corner.

Linda’s surgery is scheduled for Thursday morning. We do ask you to pray, and appreciate your prayers.

Four people prayed for salvation last Sunday – that’s about three weeks in a row we have had four. Pray with us for fourteen tomorrow.

Pray for Luis Manuel and Angelica – their 13 year old daughter Rosie ran off Friday with a 14 year old kid. Haven’t heard any response yet.

Have a joyful Lord’s Day….lavished with His grace and love. Eph. 1:7

Update, September 2

Greetings and Blessings in Jesus

IMMIGRATION REPORT
We got them! Praise God. Spent all day at Immigration Tuesday. Flew to Mexico City at 7:00 A.M. and got home at 7:30 P.M. But we got our credentials. Thank you for praying.

LAST WEEK’S REPORT
Besides the trip to Mexico City Tuesday, we went to Tepic on Friday to meet with our group there.

Tepic is 2 hours away by toll road – but a gasoline truck blew up in the middle section, and so all traffic was diverted to the non-toll road…all slow, crawling truck traffic. It took 4 hours to get there.

But we did some visiting (radio follow-up) and ministered at the house meeting in Ahuacate (right outside Tepic.)

We left Guadalajara at noon and got home at 1:30 A.M. Tired but blessed.

Oh. And four people prayed for salvation in the service here last Sunday, too. Praise God.

LINDA’S HOUSE
We should have the protection up by the end of the week. Soon after Linda’s surgery we should be able to start moving in. PRAISE GOD!

Your prayers and support are SUCH a blessing. You really don’t know how much.

Have a wonderful Lord’s Day….
