Update February 13

Greetings and blessings from Acatlán de Juárez, México.

" In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." 1 Thes 5.18

This will be short - but I am attaching this month's Good News letter (Vol 45 No. 2) along with the email.

Linda had the gall bladder surgery. All went well. She is sore and moving very s-l-o-w-l-y for the moment. Thank you for your prayers for her (us) through all this.

We celebrated 3 "Festiniños" events in three different areas of our work here. 62 people (children and adults) prayed to accept the Lord Jesus. We had 6 pray last Sunday at Angulo. El Salto had 8. Tepic had one.Praise the Lord.

You bless us so much - and help us through your prayers. We really do appreciate that. God bless you in His House tomorrow.

Update January 30

Can't believe it greetings from Mexico...

I can't believe January is GONE already! Hang on to your hat - looks like another whirlwind-fast year ahead!

"My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me." Ps 31:15
"Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us." Ps 62.8

Troubled times continue in Mexico - but we are at peace. We have God, and He gave us Ps 91.

I reminded the folks here how God moved so powerfully in El Salvador during the decade of Sandinista oppression.
Similar growth of the church occurred in Guatemala during their war years.
We believe it's - more than ever - harvest time in Mexico.

We celebrated a beautiful wedding of two of our young folks last night. A number of visitors prayed for salvation at the end of the message.

Nahum is the son of Joel and Marina Rangel. Joel laid down his life on the mission field in Africa.

Raiza is the daughter of Pastor Alfonso Herández and his wife Susana. Nahum is already servng on Angulo's pastoral team. (Angulo is our central church in Guadalajara.)

Please pray for the quarterly pastors' meeting we celebrate tomorrow in El Salto, Jalisco. Our pastors from 5 states will gather to fellowship - around the table of the Word and tables of tasty Mexican cooking. I will be teaching (along with 2 other pastors) and Linda will teach the ladies.

We had 3 pray for salvation at Angulo Sunday - and 2 more at Tepic. 4 Baptized in water and a bunch received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Linda's gall bladder surgery was postponed a week - her preliminary tests were all good. Her heart is fine! Praise God.

At our morning devotional tme together Linda and I mention you regularly...and thank God for your prayers, support and friendship. What a blessing you have been to us and th ministry here. We love you and thank God for you.

Have a heavenly time of worship and fellowship in Father's House tomorrow.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update January 23

Greetings and joyful blessings from Mexico.

"I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust." Ps 91.2

We had a blessed week - I tell about it in the attached Good News from Mexico prayer letter.

Another 6 professions of faith at the Estadio mission church plus the 44 at the Los Fresnos mission and 2 at Tepic. (Los Fresnos has been an area of much violence these past several days.)

At Angulo (the downtown church) 5 received the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, one saved and one healed. Brother Eleazar came to church (he almost didn't come with a very painful injured shoulder. During the worship time the Lord touched him and healed him. He came wearing a shoulder sling, but carried it home in his hand.

I am also attaching a copy of the USA Consulate office here in Guadalajara - simply so you will know how serious is the situation, and how to pray accordingly. Your prayers are truly invaluable.

We have peace - no fear. The verse above is our confession. But we DO covet your prayers. For us, other missionaries and pastors, our church people, and honest, clean political leaders, the military and the police. All over Mexico.

Linda is doing some prep studies and tests – getting ready for gall bladder surgery some tm in the next week or two. Of course, your prayers are appreciate concerning this, also.

I am sending this early since Linda and I are leaving in a bit for a 2-day pastors' conference.

Have a great, blessed weekend and a celebration time in Father's House Sunday.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update January 16

Greetings and Rich Blessings from Jalisco state, Mexico.

Linda and I just a little while ago got back from an all day trip to the capital city (Tepic) of Nayarit state. Linda helped initiate a Titus 2 course of lessons in our mission church there.

The sessions consist of 2 hours of teaching, a break and then smaller group workshop sessions for an hour.

Some fifty ladies came to the sessions today.

The numbers usually grow as the word gets about about the course. We have some pics below.

3 people prayed for salvation last week here in the Angulo works.

Friday and Saturday Linda and will be ministering in a pastors' conference here in Guadalajara.

Linda is better - able to go more and do more. For that we praise the Lord.

We know your prayers had a lot to do with that, too. Thank you for praying for her, us and the ministry.

Have a special day in His House tomorrow - He is worthy of all our praise, worship and love.

In Him,

Roger & Linda
