Update May 23

Happy, Happy Greetings from Mexico! Acatlan de Juarez, Jalisco, Mexico to be specific.

We are so happy to be home. And we are so far behind on everything here! Still, its great to be back home.

The lights have been coming and going all day – hopefully I can get this done before they go again!

The Puerto Vallarta church is moving to larger quarters – they still don’t have their own building, but are renting. Still, the work is growing and requires a bigger building. They are busy remodeling the place even now.

Good news - the Autlán radio station that carries our Agua Viva program has just gotten licensed to simultaneously broadcast on FM as well as AM. They already broadcast their program on the Internet. This will vastly increase our worldwide outreach on that station! PTL. Please pray God will use this extra frequency and added power to reach more people with the Gospel message.

Two people prayed to receive Jesus as Lord in Tepic last week. We are expecting great things from God tomorrow in the services here in Guadalajara.

Please pray for pastor Javier Camacho – a hiatus hernia and is undergoing studies for that. Pray it can be treated without surgery, will you?

Linda has an appointment Monday to check on an ulcerated cornea on her right eye. Please pray for her healing.

Your prayers are so helpful…no, essential. Thank you for them.

Have a great time in God’s House tomorrow – loving Him and His other kids.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update May 16

Greetings and blessing from...HOME!

Yes, thanks to the prayers of many we are home. After a 28 hour delay from the time of our confirmed flight Friday noon we finally got home Sat night at 10:30. Oh. We made it, but our luggage did not. American Airlines did it again! With no explanantions and no apologies.

About 25 of us found our luggage hadn't made it - all from that Friday noon flight. NOW we are praying they locate it and get it to us. Appreciate your prayers, too.

Still, after checking emails today, our troubles are small. A high school classmate lost her brother, a missionary friend and his wife (north Mexico) are under kidnap threat, a veteran missionary mother is in serious condition (heart and pneumonia) in Dallas and our MRC book keeper's dad is in very serious condition in Alabama.

I don't deny fussing an fumin, but after all is said and done, we are more than conquerors through HIM!

Have a blessed week...we are all surrounded by ministry and blessing opportunities. Lord, give us eyes to see, hearts to love and wills to obey Your leading. Make us a blessing!

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Mini-Update May 15

Greetings...just a short note to ask for prayer...that we can get out of DFW today and HOME!

Had a 1:30 PM scheduled flight yesterday. Got canceled, and rescheduled for 4:30 P.M. Moved us to another gate. And that was the last we were told...we waited until time for boarding, found our gate occupied by an Indianapolis flight, went to check on what was happening and discovered the 4:30 flight also had been canceled, but with no announcement. (American Airlines.)

91 flights canceled...about 1,000 people lined up for rebooking!

We are scheduled to fly to Guadalajara at 5:15 this afternoon.

Please pray that we DO get out, luggage and all...We haven't seen our luggage since yesterday noon.

Will send regular update later. Thanks for praying.

Blessings,
Roger and Linda

Update May 9

Greetings and blessings in Jesus.

We are in Cedar Hill (South Dallas) Texas today…all the kids came over to son Carey Vaughn’s house to see their mom…and brought some presents.

Just got the report from the services today at the Guadalajara Angulo Center – one person came to the Lord. Good attendance and good services. The Autlan pastor reported 2 new people coming to the Lord, as well.

We had a good trip from Pensacola to Gonzales, LA and then on to Dallas. Your prayers worked! Thanks for praying.

We finish up loose ends here this week in Dallas, and the Missionary Revival Crusade office. We have been blessed being here in the USA – and seeing friends and loved ones…but are anxious to get HOME! Mexico calls!

Another prayer answered – Linda has gotten tired, especially on a couple of long days on the road, but has held up very well, really. Praise God.

We return to Mexico encouraged and blessed after seeing so many of you, and being once more reassured of your love and prayers!

To all the mothers – Happy mothers’ day.

Have a blessed week. I liked the mission statement of the church we were in today. It was, “Love God, grow together, and serve others.” Amen.

In Him,

Roger & Linda

Update May 2

Greetings and blessings from Pensacola, FL

Linda and I are in Pensacola for the annual missions conference of local churches in cooperation with one another and Globe International. There are approximately 65 missionaries and wives present from all over the wolrld. This morning's service was very good - challenging and inspiring. Of course the service we were in was only one of several in the area.

The conference continues through Wednesday. Of course we all appreciate your prayers for this conference.

Linda is doing well, so far on this trip. We have been to Dallas, Ada, OK, Memphis, TN, Gonzales, LA and Pensacola. A two day visit with dear friends in Pace, Fl...Papa Ken and Wanda Sumrall.

Last Sunday in Guadalajara the report came of 3 people praying for salvation and another man prayed to receive the Lord in Tepic. I haven't received today's report, yet.

Thank you for your prayers for us and especially for Linda's strength for the trip.

God bless you this week - servking Him by serving others

In Him,

Roger & Linda
