Update June 24

Greetings to you from central Mexico on a nice, sunny day.

Linda and I were reading today’s Psalms this morning. The first one, Psalm 23. What a wonderful, powerful message.

“THE LORD is my Shepherd , I shall not lack.” (Amplified)

The children’s leader took the kids for a two day encounter retreat. The Lord touched their lives in a wonderful way.
One new person received the Lord at the Estadio mission service this week, one last week plus one at Tepic and another at Angulo.

Numerous letters are coming from the prisoners in Tepic – now a growing number of women prisoners are writing. This is from the Agua Viva radio broadcast.

Mexico’s national, state and local elections will be held next Sunday (1 July.) We ask your prayers for honest elections and for the right people to be elected.

Normally, our Angulo anniversary is the first Sunday of July, but we are postponing it a week, to accommodate the elections.

I am sending along an episode of “Our Story” this week again.

Linda is doing OK. She isn’t well, but is better than she was. However, weight is still a problem. She lost another pound last week. Doesn’t have that many to lose. Thanks for praying for her, for us and for the Lord’s work here.

Have a blessed day in His House with His people tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update June 17

Greetings and Happy Father's Day to all the fathers.

Just a very short email this week. My "mainest" reason for sending them is to remind you to pray for us.
So they don't really have to be too long. Anyhow, I try to keep them as brief as possible.

We had a good, busy week. Linda seems to have a little more endurance, and I believe feels a little better, too.
We're expecting a good time tomorrow at the Father's Day service at church.

I am sending along the June Good News letter (vol 46, number 6.) And a short episode about a surprise wedding we had a number of years ago.

Thanks for your prayers. Have a happy Father's Day and a good time in fellowship with Gd's Family.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update June 10

Greetings from Mexico on a cool, rainy afternoon.

"The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer." Psalm 6.9

How wonderful to know that we can pray to Almighty God, our heavenly Father and be assured of His ear and answer.

I received a letter from Raul this week. He is one of the prisoners we are ministering to through the radio program and literature that we send, including correspondence Bible courses.

Raul says it is not easy, being in prison, and the limitations that the prison directors impose. Nevertheless he says they are praying for people, and God is answering.

In fact, he said they are praying for other prisoners, lawyers, guards and visitors to the prison!

And Raul says that just a few months ago there were 90 believers in the prison; now there are over 200! And he sent me five names of women prisoners who want to study the Bible course with us. Please pray for more liberty to share the Gospel in the Tepic prison, and for the mail personnel to let the Gospel literature get to the inmates.

We had 4 people pray for salvation last week. And a baby dedication. Yes, another one. Lots of babies these days. Must be something in the water!

Linda is going to accompany me tomorrow to two of our churches and then we have a story telling class afterward before coming home. Please pray for her strength.

Your prayers are SO needed, and so helpful. Thank you for praying for us and the work here.

Oh. I got another letter (snail mail type) this past week about a friend not receiving these updates. I wish I could send an email to anyone who has stopped getting them, to tell them to let me know. Seems these programs do their own configurations at times. I send this out every Saturday. If you ever stop getting it and want to keep getting it, please send me an email and let me know!

Have a wonderful day in Father's House where you are tomorrow.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update June 6

Greetings from sunny and breezy Mexico.

"Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved." Psalm 62.1-2

What a wonderful assurance. I met with Juan Acosta this week. He was assaulted in his church 2 weeks ago by cartel drug gang people. The police would not answer their calls for aid - that territory belongs to the cartel people. Juan and Gloria have been serving there faithfully for over 25 years. Now some of the church people are fearful of attending. As we rely on promises like the one above, we also rely on your prayers for covering and protection.

Gloria, Juan's wife is Linda's right arm in the Titus 2 ministry. A photo of Juan, Gloria and their two daughters is attached.

We had more new people coming to the Lord last week, and the work on the new church property goes steadily forward.

Linda and her team met this past week as they continue to plan for the Titus 2 twentieth anniversary convention this coming October. The Lord is giving Linda strength day by day as per His promise in Deuteronomy 33.25..." as thy days, so shall thy strength be..."

Thank you once again for your faithful intercession for us and the Lord's work here in Mexico.
God bless you in His House with His people on His Day.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update May 27

Greetings and blessings from Acatlán de Juárez, Mexico!

“All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.” Psalm 5.10

Linda and I got back home from some wonderful conferences on the 15th of this month. Linda has been recuperating from the trip ever since! But I was so glad she was able to make the trip.

We just got back from a “quinceañera” – a young lady’s 15th birthday celebration. She was a niña, now she is a señorita.
Monica is a sweet young lady…and her family are faithful believers.

We had a good week: 4 came to the Lord in the Angulo church and 4 others in the missions

The new mission church Tatepozco is growing; the new church plant in the city of León is moving forward. And the folks from the new mission in Zapotlán are full of enthusiasm.

I reported, I think, the baptismal service at the Estadio mission church recently – eleven people were baptized.

We’re looking forward to a good time tomorrow. Our story message is on Cain and Abel.

Thanks so much for your prayers. God bless you “real good”  as a famous evangelist always said.

In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update May 20

Greetings and warm blessings from Mexico!

Warm emotionally and “Weatherly.” Actually, it’s a nice, sunny day; a little breezy but nice.

“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.” Psalm 84.11

I’ll be briefer today as I am attaching our May Good News letter. We missed the last two Saturdays due to travels. But we are happily back home this Saturday

Linda and I were in Pensacola, FL for the annual Globe and area churches missions conferences. Such a blessing to be with and have fellowship with old (not age, necessarily) friends and fellow missionaries.

And we had an opportunity to see three generations of family as we spent two days in Dallas on our return to Mexico. We are wealthy in family! Natural and spiritual! God is good!

Our radio program “prison ministry” is increasing. We have over 40 prisoners in the Tepic prison studying the Scriptures and each new student recommends others. The number grows.

And now we are receiving requests for the Bible correspondence course from the prison at Tres Marias Island. Women prisoners. Please pray for them as they study His Word.

One of the male prisoners from the Tepic prison wrote for the course because he found an envelope to another prisoner in the trash. It had our return address on it.

What an encouragement to hear people tell us they are praying for us and the ministry. Your prayers are important and powerfully effective. Please don’t stop.

Have a wonderful day tomorrow in His House with His people!

In Him,
Roger and Linda
