Grateful Greetings from Mexico.
" The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them." Ps 145.18-19
Grateful greetings because we have a Father in Heaven Who gives us such great promises as cites above. How many promises DO we have in the Bible concerning prayer? Then, why don't we pray more? Let's do!
We have had 18 come to Jesus for salvation so far this month of April. Preparing fo a baptismal service soon. God is good - it is fun and exciting to serve Him!
I won't write much here - am sending this month's Good News/prayer letter as an attachment, along with another episode of the ministry here.
Thanks for your prayers. For the ministry and for us - especially for Linda. She IS getting better, still not super much energy, but more than before. I am encouraged, but we aren't "there" yet. Your prayers are so important.
Have a wonderful time with God's people in His House tomorrow.
In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update February 12
Greetings on a cold and rainy from Guadalajara.
"The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself." Pro 11.25
" But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand." Isa. 32.8
(The Spanish Bible says, "Generous people think in terms of generosity, and by their generosity will be exalted."
We have such a generous and faithful God! Grandma used to go around the old farm house singing, "Count your many blessings...and it will surprise you what the Lord has done!"
We are being blessed with some good, soaking rains these three or four days. It’s cold! But the rains are welcome.
And we are blessed with the Lord's workings in our midst - souls coming to Jesus, testimonies of healings, radio letters that encourage and you! Your prayers and support of the ministry here is a BIG blessing.
I told recently, in one of the "Our Story" episodes about little Ruth, born blind, and how the Lord healed her. I looked for her photo then, but could not find it. I am including it here...Ruth and her preacher husband, and their children.
I also told about preaching the 15th anniversary service at our Agrícola Center church. Pastor Efraín and wife Angélica sent me the photos of the event - PLUS photos of when we dedicated Angélica to the Lord.
Ramón, Angélica's dad was a real soul winner. He took little 6 year old Angélica with him on a trip to the state of Nayarit, to witness to family there. He was able to lead some of them to the Lord. The return trip was on a cold, dark and rainy night. The bus ran through a railroad crossing warning and was hit. Ramón's legs were severed from his body. As he lay there, his life bleeding away, he told Angélica to tell her mother that he was OK - in Heaven. He told her to be faithful and continue to serve God and live for Him.
Now, María is a member of the church where her daughters are pastor's wives. Angélica is married to Efraín, senior pastor. Veronica is Angélica's sister; she is married to Chava the assistant pastor at Agrícola. Faithful people...faithfulness that honors God and blesses me!
Have a wonderful day in Father's House tomorrow....faithful disciples of our Lord.

Roger & Linda

Update February 5
Greetings in Jesus this Saturday evening.
"O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together." Palm 34.3
We have so many reasons to magnify the Lord! Don't we?
We had people come to Jesus for salvation in the missions and cells. On Monday we had a wonderful time with our pastors’ in our regular quarterly meeting. The men and their wives came from all over the city and from five states for a great time of fellowship, ministry and food!
Linda was having a hard time negotiating the trip from the bedroom to the kitchen just a few weeks ago. I was so happy to have her with me in the services all day long both Sunday and Monday! That's real progress. Praise God.
We had an all night prayer vigil for the young people of Guadalajara on Friday night here - and a Saturday night united service for our own young people on Saturday night. I am encouraged to see how God is working among the youth how they are responding to Him.
Last Sunday I preached at our Agrícola Center (the pastor' 15th anniversary as pastor there. Tomorrow I preach an early service at our Trece Center in south Guadalajara before preaching the main service at the downtown Angulo Center. Thank you for your prayers.
And Linda and I both are always blessed by your prayers, support and encouragement. The words of Jesus have never been more true - The fields are white unto harvest and the laborers are few.
God bless you. Have a great time worshiping Father tomorrow.
In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update January 29
Greetings in Jesus.
“Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee… God is the LORD” Psalm 118.28,27a
We are in the middle of a big weekend. Last night youth from all over Guadalajara had an all night prayer meeting at our down town Angulo church. (Photos below)
Tonight our own youth meet together at our Agrícola Center church. It should be a wild and exciting service.
Linda and I ministered there (at the Agrícola) church last Sunday – helping Pastor Efraín and his wife Angélica celebrate 15 years as pastors of the congregation.
Sunday we had three people pray for salvation at Angulo, and two healing testimonies. Three more prayed at the Buenos Aires mission.
This Monday (January 30) we celebrate our quarterly pastors’ meeting. Our pastors come from five states for an all day fellowship-ministry-business meeting. It’s always a good time.
Please pray for everyone’s safe travel and for the Lord’s Presence in the meetings. For tomorrow and for Monday!
May the Lord’s blessings be richly upon you and the services tomorrow where you are.
Oh. Linda continues to gain strength and even a little weight!
Praise God. Thanks for your prayers for her.
In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update January 15
Greetings in Jesus from Mexico.
“God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1.9 (Look up other verses, “God is faithful”- rich study)
Its been a busy week - meetings, services, counseling, making radio programs. Looking forward to the serrtvices tomorrow.
I am doing a short one today, since I am attaching an episode of "Our Story" and January's Good News letter.
Just a note to say Linda is coming along, improving slowly, but surely now. Praise God. We spent a good part of Thursday with her Titus 2 leaders starting to lay plans for a Titus 2 convention in October - involving leaders and graduates from all over the country. It is the 20th anniversary of the first Titus 2 course.
Have a blessed time in His House tomorrow. Thank you for remembering us in your prayers.

Update January 8
Greetings of Joy and Peace from Mexico.
"Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you." Psa 37.5 (NLT)
Tomorrow Linda and I will be ministering at the Tabachines Center here in Guadalajara. Juan Acosta and his wife Gloria are celebrating 25 years as pastors of that congregation. I will write more about Tabachines in future episodes of "Our Story". It is always a joy to be with Juan and Gloria. She is Linda's "right hand man" in the Titus 2 ministry, and we first met Juan when, as a 15 year old kid he delivered a drug prescription to our house in 1974.
The Tabachines work was very small and in a sparsely populated area of the city. I needed a pastor replacement, "right now." I talked to Juan about it. He was on the pastoral staff at Angulo at that time, and rather comfortable. Neither he nor Gloria was open to the offer. I said, "Juan, help me for a year there. If at the end of the year you don't want to stay, at least I will have time to find another man for the people. Finally, he agreed. That was 25 years ago. Now you couldn't drag them away from Tabachines! They’ve done a good job there!
I was looking at the reports for December 2011. Fifty two people prayed for salvation during the month. PTL. Still, so many lost without Him! Please pray with that 2012 will be the greatest year for winning people and making disciples we have ever had.
Linda is better. We went shopping this past week! She’s going with me to Tabachines. Couldn't do those things not long ago. Thanks for your prayers for her!
Have a wonderful day at church tomorrow...we are part of a really great Family. Let's enjoy fellowship with one another.
In Him,
Roger & Linda

Update January 1
Greetings and year-end/New Year blessings from Mexico.
You, God, prescribed the right way to live; now you expect us to live it. Oh, that my steps might be steady, keeping to the course you set; Then I'd never have any regrets in comparing my life with your counsel. (From the Message) Ps 119
As we jump into a new year (ready or not) we are thankful for God's blessings and benefits during 2011. And as we look ahead to 2012 we see the potential for ever increasing fruitfulness in Kingdom service.
Your prayers and encouragement are a great part of our resources for staying the course and doing His will for our lives here in this beautiful land of Mexico.
Happy New Year. May He crown it with His abundance and paths that drop fatness. (Psalm 65.11)
In His Love,
Roger & Linda

Navidad greetings from sunny, warm Mexico (A beautiful day here in the Guadalajara area)
Just a short greeting to you on this Christmas eve. We had 3 come to Jesus last Sunday. In the evening I preached at another one of our centers here in the city - full of vibrant, excited young people! Wonderful service.
Linda and I just want to take this moment to wish you and all yours a really happy and joyful Christmas season and a blessed and exciting 2012 as we all serve the Prince of Peace in ever more tumultuous times.
Our pastoral teams have been sharing Franklin Graham's Christmas gift boxes with the children in our areas of mission outreach around Guadalajara. Some photos accompany this note.
Thank you for your love - For God, His Work, the lost...and us. Your prayers and encouragement are such a constant blessing to us.
God bless you,
