Tragedy - Please Pray (June 7)

Last night here in Guadalajara a missionary couple from Chile (David Boudon and Ester Tejada) lost their home to a fire. Even worse, their daughter Esther also perished in the fire. They have 3 other children who are safe.

Thank you for praying for them.

Linda and I had a blessed trip to Leon, Guanajuato last weekend. I preached in our Leon Center church Sunday morning and at another church, “Torre Fuerte” (Strong Tower) in the evening. Four people prayed for salvation Sunday morning and three more Sunday evening. PTL.

Here in Guadalajara they had one person pray for salvation at the Angulo Center church – and 10 at the Tapatio Center church’s downtown plaza outreach. (Photo)

We had a good pastors’ meeting in Leon on Monday. Linda preached good – challenged them about strongholds. I preached on missions – challenging the men to take seriously the Great Commission. Two other pastors brought good words, too.

Linda held up pretty well – but was really tired by the time we got home at 8:30 Monday evening. Thanks for your prayers.

I was reading in Luke this week – impressed with Jesus’ comments about offenses and forgiveness. Seven times in one day – the same person! The disciples responded – “Lord. Increase our faith!” Then the thought came – forgiveness isn’t a question of faith, but of the will. A decision we make. Like love and joy.

Have a wonderful time celebrating salvation and worshiping the Savior in Father’s House tomorrow. Again – thanks for your prayers for us and the work here.

Update May 30

Saturday Noon Greetings from Acatlan,

Linda and I are going to be leaving in a little bit for Leon, Guanajuato. We have services there tomorrow and a quarterly pastors' meeting on Monday. I will be ministering in our Center in the morning as well as another church in the city in the evening. Please pray for safe travel for all of us - coming together from 5 different states.

Last Sunday we had 3 people pray to receive the Lord at the downtown Center. The pastors from Autlan, Merida and Linares also reported new people coming to the Savior.

In Merida a couple got saved at home, then Sunday brought their 2 teenage sons who prayed for salvation, too.

Here in Guadalajara we had 3 healing testimonies - a sciatic nerve was healed, a new lady had her painful and immobile shoulder healed and another sister had very blurred vision, but the Lord healed her of that! Autlan also reported some exciting healings, as well.

I am going to be preaching to the pastors on missions. Please pray for that session.

Thank you for praying for Linda. She hasn't gained any weight back yet, but she is feeling some better, all in all. We prayed for her eyes the other morning (ulcers on the cornea.) When we went to the eye doctor in the afternoon, they were GONE! PTL:
