Merry Christmas - Happy New Year

Linda and I wish you a blessed Christmas season and a new year filled with significant achievement and fruitfulness as we serve the King of kings together.

Howard Thurman wrote these words...

"When the song of the angels is stilled,
when the star in the sky is gone,
when the kings and princes are home,
when the shepherds are back with the flocks,
then the work of Christmas begins:
to find the lost,
to heal those broken in spirit,
to feed the hungry,
to release the oppressed,
to rebuild the nations,
to bring peace among all peoples,
to make a little music with the heart…
And to radiate the Light of Christ,
every day, in every way, in all that we do and in all that we say.
Then the work of Christmas begins."

Happy New Year.

Update December 14

Greetings and Heavenly Blessings!

Just got in from the youth service of our missions week. Traffic was terrible, and attendance hindered, but it was a GOOD service. The theme, "From Mexico to the Nations - The Process and Practical Steps to the Field"

We had a good missions banquet last night, too. Expecting a great closing service tomorrow. Your prayers are much appreciated! Last year the people gave $108 thousand pesos in faith promises. We are believing for more this year - economic crisis or not.

We had 4 more people "pray for salvation" last Sunday. We say it that way - time tells whether they "got saved" or not.

This coming Saturday (the 20th of December) is the big stadium meeting. Biggest Gospel event EVER in Guadalajara. PLEASE PRAY! God bless you; may Sunday be a victory day for Jesus - and an abundant harvest time.

As always - thank you ever so much for your faithful prayers!

In His grace,
Roger & Linda

P.S. Xerox will help you send a Christmas card to a servicemn over seas: http://www.letssaythanks.com/SendCard.asp

Update December 7

Greetings and Blessings from Heaven.

I am going to try to get this done before this computer quits again!

Its been a busy week - pastors' meetings, planning meetings for the big Dec 20 Stadium meeting. Do keep that in your prayers, please. Nothing like it has ever been done here in Guadalajara.

And...we start our annual missions week tomorrow. Please pray for this service...this week. Our emphasis this time is on how these young peope with a call to missions can GET there.

Sunday services tomorrow and the 14th. Thursday night service - Friday missions banquet, Saturday youth meeting and finish Sunday.

We had 3 people pray for salvation last week. Sent Bro Martin to Tepic today (he's moving there today) and celebrated a beautiful "quinceaƱera" (15 yr birthday) for Lizbet Orozco last night.

Expecting great things tomorrow...and all week. Your prayers are a large part of the victories here. We praise God for you and your help!

In Him,R

Update - November 30

Greetings and blessings to you!

Last weekend was great. We celebrated the Salamanca church's 27th anniversary, and in the evening I preached at the Irapuato Center.

At the Irapuato meeting several people told me how they had gotten healed and/or saved listening to our Agua Viva program. Encouraging!

On Wednesday at the "vivelorojo" (see vivelorojo.org) planning session a pastor told me how he listened to the program as a young boy - and as a result came to know the Lord. One of the Irapuato testimonies was a man who had been an alcoholic but got delivered and saved through the program. Praise God.

Four people prayed for salvation here at our Angulo Center last Sunday, too. PTL.

Last night I took part in a city-wide ordination and recognition service. It was a good meeting with some 40 men going forth into pastoral ministry.

Among other meetings this next week we have a 15 year celebration for one of our pastor's daughters. This is a special time in these young ladies' lives.

Please pray for Rosenda - a grandmother and one of our 'originals' at the Tepic mission. She has a cancerous tumor on one of her breasts.

Have a great day tomorrow - as we all worship our King together!

In Him,
Roger & Linda
